Many in the WWE Universe often forget that the main event of WrestleMania 31 is technically a triple threat match.

The scheduled main event of WrestleMania 31 saw WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar take on 2015 Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns.

There had been significant controversy heading into the match as the WWE Universe rejected Reigns as the company's new top babyface. Fans regularly booed Roman Reigns during matches and television appearances. Regardless, officials remained steadfast in their persistence at positioning him as "the guy" in WWE.

However, this seemingly changed on the day of WrestleMania 31. Shockingly, 'Mr. Money in the Bank' Seth Rollins sprinted to the ring during the physical and stiff main event between Reigns and Lesnar.

Rollins had lost earlier in the night to Randy Orton in a terrific matchup, so many assumed we wouldn't see the former Shield member for the rest of the show.

Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract, making the match a triple threat. He hit a Curbstomp on Roman Reigns to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Michael Cole famously described the moment as "the heist of the century" in what was a shocking conclusion to WrestleMania 31.
