#4 Christian betrays Edge at Backlash

Yes, Christian has made it clear on multiple occasions that his career is over and done for good and that he will never return to the ring again. But here's why I think that the greatest wrestling match ever at Backlash 2020 could see interference from Christian to sow the seeds for an Edge vs. Christian match somewhere down the line someday.

It stems from the fact that despite everything that has been said by the announcers and the performers themselves, there is no way that Edge and Randy Orton can live up to the expectations of the greatest wrestling match ever when they do clash at Backlash.

The only way out is a betrayal or a dramatic finish in a sense, and if Christian were to show up out of the blue to take Edge out, it would take away all the attention from the premise of the 'Greatest Wrestling Match Ever' and have the WWE Universe focus on this development.

And yes, Christian could return for one more match in a cinematic environment where he doesn't have to take any bumps.
