WWE Monday night Raw preview for November 18, 2013

Ruined by predictabilty

After an average show in Manchester, Raw is back in the states this week with a lot of expectations riding as it is the last one before the annual Survivor Series. The music lover’s paradise Nashville, Tennessee has won the lucky pick to host the event and the show will not be short of any music as Florida Georgia Line has confirmed their presence on this week’s show. But the spotlight will be stolen by the action inside the ring as many of the storyline still needs some sorting before the apparent climax in the Survivor Series. So here is a look at the issues that the show might address as it goes country in Nashville.

5- Some punch into John Cena’s feud with Alberto Del Rio ?

Ruined by predictabilty

Del Rio’s quest to regain the World Heavyweight Championship has been suffering due to the predictability factor. The arm wrestling promo in SmackDown barely did anything good as it made little sense to pit two men of almost equal physique in an arm wrestling match. Cena’s injury was stressed throughout the storyline which sadly stands out as the only exciting part. Damien Sandow who promised to pursuit Cena was nowhere near the champ last week, much to the misery of the fans. And summing up all these only calls for one thing: a twist in the tale before Survivor Series. The WWE will be desperate to make it happen as the current situation is backfiring in their attempts to give some credibility to the World Heavyweight Championship.

4- A monster confined in a suit

Waiting to be unleashed

Waiting to be unleashed

After receiving a negative response to Kane’s new authority avatar, the WWE took a step in the right direction when they showcased him as a more intense individual during an interview with Michael Cole in WWE.com. And they might be looking to follow up the angle on Raw as Kane will be in the middle of a chaotic return of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. The big red machine’s new cardboard figure definetly needs to be changed at Survivor Series and another promo in Raw would simply act as a much required catalyst. But it still remains unclear who will be on the receiving side as he could go against Triple H or find himself in a feud with Big Show. Either way Kane is destined to unleash the monster that we all love to see.

3- Revenge of the Wyatts

Revenge time

Revenge time

For the first time since their debut in WWE, the Wyatt family was made to look like confused thanks to some incredible hide and seek game from Daniel Bryan and CM Punk. The beard and The beast gave the Wyatts a dose of their own medicine on SmackDown which has set the stage for the weird guys to hit back. A lot of expectation is riding on the feud as it is the only one which can produce a potential traditional match for Survivor Series and the creative will be having a hard time living up to those expectations. As things stand out, we won’t get to see Bray Wyatt in the ring anytime soon and are definetly not seeing the much interesting Shield vs. Wyatt family battle. Whichever path the feud chose to go, one thing that is certain to happen on Raw will be a revenge angle featuring the Wyatt family since they wouldn’t want to go to Survivor Series without delivering a bang.

2- The Authority is back

Ready to clean the house

Ready to clean the house

After a week’s vacation, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon will be back on Raw this week which promises to be a stellar return. In their absence, Big Show managed to cause chaos by giving Randy Orton a ride through the table while a triple-threat confrontation broke out backstage regarding who has the most power. Hunter will be more than angry with the two happenings and would sort out things quickly without hesitating. Big Show won’t be having a good time as he is definetly in the cards for punishment. Meanwhile, Orton will be full of complaints and could find himself with an irritated Triple H which wouldn’t be any good for the WWE Champion. But the sure part is that the return will get a prime slot in the show and as said earlier, it promises to be a stellar one.

1- Survivor Series card

The ultimate tease

The ultimate tease

WWE is still yet to book a traditional tag team match for the pay-per-view which has left the fans scratching their heads. The only possibility to incorporate a traditional match still remains in the Wyatt family’s feud with Punk and Bryan. Many fans dreamt of the 6 on 6 match that was teased last week but those dreams were broken as WWE announced a simple 2 against 2 match for the annual event. It was a risk to do so as the writers would only have one show to pull off a twist if it is to happen. If it doesn’t then that leaves the Shield without much of an importance in the pay-per-view and at the same time The Usos and Rhodes Brothers will also be pushed back to undercard. There is lot of things to be sorted out and the Survivor Series match card will be finalized this week which makes it a Raw worth watching.
