Money in the Bank is usually one of WWE's most consistent premium live events of the year from a quality standpoint. This year's edition was no different.

All five matches on the show were a bunch of fun, but what stood out? Here is a breakdown of everything at Money in the Bank 2025, along with star ratings out of five.

#1. Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match

The stacked female Money in the Bank Ladder Match kicked off the action, and what an opener this was! All six women left their marks on the match, with a bunch of hellacious spots.

Rhea Ripley showed off her power before getting buried under a sea of ladders, while Roxanne Perez and Giulia briefly reunited. Stephanie Vaquer was impressive as she wrestled her third match in under 24 hours, even hitting the Devil's Kiss on a bridged ladder in the ring.

Alexa Bliss and Naomi brought their Money in the Bank experience to the fore, creating a perfect balance. The Goddess and Perez hit dueling Code Reds, while Ripley made a comeback for the ages.

However, in the end, Naomi emerged victorious. She pushed Mami and Bliss off the ladder before climbing herself and retrieving the Money in the Bank briefcase. The veteran won an absolute war, with every woman working incredibly hard to kick the show off with a bang.

#2. Dominik Mysterio vs. Octagon Jr. - WWE Intercontinental Championship

This impromptu match was set up at the Worlds Collide event, hours before Money in the Bank. Dominik Mysterio got into a brawl with Octagon Jr, who is a huge fan of his "deadbeat" dad.

This was a solid showcase for both men. Mysterio scored a successful Intercontinental Title defense, while Octagon Jr did well in the spotlight. He hit a Springboard Moonsault along with some other exciting moves, but a distraction from Liv Morgan proved crucial.

Her involvement allowed Dominik Mysterio to hit the 619 and Frog Splash to pick up the win. This wasn't too long, but it did serve its purpose.

#3. Lyra Valkyria vs. Becky Lynch - WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship

This match started hot, as Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch began brawling all over the place. The big moves were on display almost immediately, but most of them were countered.

Valkyria hit a Leg Drop onto the barricade, while Lynch powerbombed her for a close two-count. Big Time Becks was also unable to win with an Avalanche Manhandle Slam. Both women hit their finishers outside the ring and just about avoided losing by countout.

The end saw Becky Lynch counter a roll-up with one of her own, winning by holding Lyra Valkyria's tights. This was another worthy instalment in Lynch and Valkyria's series. And based on what happened after the match at Money in the Bank, the fun isn't stopping!

#4. Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match

The men's ladder match was absolutely bonkers! Penta, Andrade, and El Grande Americano brought the back-busting spots, while LA Knight and Solo Sikoa had their moments. However, it was Seth Rollins' night.

Ad

The Visionary became a two-time Money in the Bank winner after an all-action war. This match was filled with some extraordinary moments, including Andrade hitting a Sunset Flip Powerbomb off a ladder and Penta hitting a Mexican Destroyer onto one. Things picked up when Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed got involved.

The two destroyed the field to give Rollins the advantage before Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo came out. It looked like Solo Sikoa would be gifted the win on a silver platter, but the United States Champion betrayed him. After this, Seth Rollins and LA Knight had one final battle, with the former Universal Champion winning out.

What a match this was. High-risk action coupled with exciting external involvement. Fatu's attack on Solo stole the show, while Rollins will lord over WWE RAW with the Money in the Bank contract.

Rating: ****1/2

#5. John Cena & Logan Paul vs. Jey Uso & Cody Rhodes

The main event of Money in the Bank was long, but how good was it? Not bad indeed.

It started quite slow, with an extended heat period for John Cena and Logan Paul. They ended up arguing, which allowed Cody Rhodes to get the hot tag. That's when things broke down. Each star hit their finishers on someone else, be it their opponent or tag team partner, by accident.

The action did get fun when it was exclusively big moves. Everyone got their licks in, including Jey Uso after he speared Cena on the announce table. He was then put through it via a Springboard Moonsault from Paul. However, it was Cody's night.

The American Nightmare pinned John Cena with Cross Rhodes after R-Truth showed up out of nowhere. This was a fun way to end Money in the Bank, with the WWE legend's return being a complete shocker. He had announced his release from the company less than a week ago.
