Will Brock Lesnar make another return at WWE Money in the Bank?

WWE SummerSlam is just weeks away, and the Money in the Bank pay-per-view will provide the company with a great opportunity to build towards the big event. This year’s Money in the Bank will be held in front of a live audience, unlike last year’s show.

The event will host two traditional MITB ladder matches for men and women respectively. There are a few top superstars who stand a good chance of winning the briefcases this year.

Additionally, Bobby Lashley will defend his WWE Championship at the show. Will the recent non-title losses affect The All Mighty’s performance at the pay-per-view?

Edge will also get another opportunity to get his hands on Roman Reigns and the Universal Championship at Money in the Bank. Will The Ultimate Opportunist finally win the title from The Head of the Table?

Bayley had to pull out of her SmackDown Women’s Championship match against Bianca Belair due to an injury. Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair will challenge Rhea Ripley for the RAW Women’s Championship. Will the two women from RAW put on a memorable match at Money in the Bank?

Take a look at the five things that must happen at this year’s WWE Money in the Bank.

#5. Jinder Mahal must cost Drew McIntyre the briefcase at WWE Money in the Bank

The men’s Money in the Bank ladder match has some of the biggest names in WWE today. However, it’s not nearly as stacked as it could have been. Certain superstars, such as Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, John Morrison and even Kevin Owens, stand little chance of winning the briefcase.

The frontrunners for this year’s Money in the Bank ladder match seem to be Big E, Drew McIntyre, and Seth Rollins. McIntyre stands arguably the greatest chance of winning the briefcase on Sunday. He’s been in the WWE Championship picture for over a year now, and could very well win the contract and cash it in soon.

However, WWE must ensure that The Scottish Psychopath comes close to victory before Jinder Mahal appears and costs him the match. Mahal and McIntyre recently got into a rivalry, and the angle could help WWE take The Scot out of the title picture for a while.

McIntyre is one man who does not need the Money in the Bank contract to get back in the title picture. Instead, he could do with some time away from Bobby Lashley and the WWE Championship.

WWE must use this match and opportunity to give Big E or Seth Rollins the victory. Big E has been waiting for his chance to get to the top for a long time. Meanwhile, Rollins could win the contract and have a great run with it as a top heel.

#4. AJ Styles and Omos must retain their RAW Tag Team Championships at WWE Money in the Bank

AJ Styles and Omos will walk into WWE Money in the Bank as the reigning RAW Tag Team Champions. The two men won the titles at WrestleMania 37, but haven’t had the best of title reigns yet.

The Viking Raiders will have a great chance of winning the titles back at Money in the Bank. Ivar defeated AJ Styles in a one-on-one match on Monday Night RAW, and this will give the challengers a lot of confidence walking into the match.

While The Viking Raiders are a great tag team and deserve another title reign, WWE must allow Styles and Omos to defeat them on Sunday.

WWE needs to keep Styles and Omos together for some time, and the two men can do a lot more with the RAW Tag Team Championships together. A big victory over The Viking Raiders at Money in the Bank will help them improve their current title reign.

If the creative team is planning to get RK-Bro in the title picture soon, then Styles and Omos can be great opponents for them. A match between the two teams at WWE SummerSlam could end up being a show-stealer.

#3. Rhea Ripley must convincingly defeat Charlotte Flair at WWE Money in the Bank

WWE Money in the Bank will host a match between Charlotte Flair and RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley. The reigning champion intentionally got herself disqualified at WWE Hell in a Cell to retain her title.

Over the past few weeks, Ripley and Flair have tried to attack and injure each other. The rivalry hasn’t had a great build, but there’s enough backstory to keep the ball rolling.

So far, WWE has not added any special stipulation to the match at Money in the Bank. However, it’s possible that this will be turned into a No Disqualification match or Ripley will be at risk of losing her title in the event of a disqualification.

In any case, WWE must ensure that The Nightmare is allowed to put on a great match against Flair. Her match on WWE RAW against Natalya was one of the better ones she has had on the main roster, and the match at Money in the Bank should follow suit.

In the end, Ripley must be allowed to convincingly defeat Flair with an Avalanche Riptide to retain the RAW Women’s Championship. The Nightmare needs to pick up a big victory to make her title reign memorable. A win will also hopefully end this rivalry for good. A big win would allow her to move on and get into a rivalry with some other top superstars on RAW.

#2. Becky Lynch must return to win the MITB contract at WWE Money in the Bank

Seven WWE Superstars have already been announced for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Asuka, Naomi, Alexa Bliss and Nikki A.S.H. qualified for the match from the RAW brand. Meanwhile, Zelina Vega, Liv Morgan and Natalya are the three females who’ve made it to the Money in the Bank ladder match from SmackDown.

Of those currently announced for the match, it looks like Liv Morgan and Alexa Bliss have the best chance of winning the contest. Asuka took the briefcase home last year and Nikki A.S.H. is too early in her current gimmick to get such a huge push.

However, WWE must have big plans for the final entrant of the match. The company must keep the slot empty until Sunday, and then bring back a former RAW Women’s Champion to become the final entrant of the match.

Becky Lynch must make her return at Money in the Bank to take the final spot in the women’s ladder match. She must then go on to outlast the seven other women and win the briefcase at the event.

Lynch relinquished her title the night after last year’s Money in the Bank event. This will be the perfect way to bring back The Man who can then get back in contention for the top title.

#1. Brock Lesnar must return to confront Bobby Lashley at WWE Money in the Bank

Kofi Kingston will get a chance to win the WWE Championship at Money in the Bank. Bobby Lashley is fresh out of a lengthy rivalry with Drew McIntyre and will be looking to extend his reign as the top champion for longer.

The two superstars are no strangers to one another. Kofi recently pinned Lashley on an episode of WWE RAW and will have the momentum going into the contest. However, last week’s loss to Xavier Woods has certainly ticked off The All Mighty.

Lashley will look to make an example out of Kofi on Sunday. WWE must allow Lashley to remain dominant at Money in the Bank and retain his WWE Championship.

Post-match, Brock Lesnar must make his much-awaited return to WWE. Fans have been waiting for a match between Lesnar and The Beast Incarnate for a long time, and WWE must begin to sow the seeds for a potential rivalry at Money in the Bank.

A simple return followed by a face-off will be enough to build excitement among the fans in attendance and those watching at home. With WWE SummerSlam on the horizon, a rivalry between Lesnar and Lashley could certainly make things a lot more exciting.
