NXT UK Champion, Walter returned on this week's show

This week offered yet another thoroughly enjoyable and action-packed episode of WWE NXT UK.

The stacked show featured four matches, and the NXT UK Tag Team Championships were on the line in the main event match between The Hunt and Gallus.

Rampage Brown showed off his destructive power once again, while Saxton Huxley was in action in a two-on-one handicap match.

The show also featured the returns of NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray and NXT UK Champion WALTER.

The first match of the night was the "White Witch" Isla Dawn taking on the NXT UK Women’s Champion, Kay Lee Ray. This match was Ray’s first since her brutal Falls Count Anywhere bout with Piper Niven last month.

The two competitors tied up in the middle of the ring. Ray transitioned into an armbar, and Dawn countered into a wrist lock. Dawn launched the champ into the ropes and followed up with a running knee to the mid-section for the first two count of the match.

Ray turned up the aggression, but she missed a knee drop. Dawn laid in some big kicks and rocked the champion with a diving double knee attack. "The White Witch" then hit a huge side suplex, dropping Ray right on her neck for another close near fall.

Dawn continued the attack with a flurry of forearms, but a reversed Irish whip allowed Ray to hit a tornado DDT. Ray locked in a triangle hold, which Dawn survived, but a nasty superkick into a Gory Driver clinched the win for the “Scary Queen of Scots.”

After the match, Ray took the mic to boast about how she was the longest-reigning NXT UK Women’s Champion and she intends to hold the gold for a time.

Result: Kay Lee Ray defeated Isla Dawn on NXT UK

A vignette announcing the signing of Ben Carter was next. The video showed William Regal, Seth Rollins, and Nigel McGuinness hyping up this new young star. The wrestling world was talking all about him after his outstanding performances in AEW earlier this year. NXT UK clearly has big plans for Ben Carter.

A vignette showing Ilja Dragunov stating that he gave his all in his war against NXT UK Champion, WALTER. But after this loss, he now has to start again. The video ended as he removed his contact lenses.

Saxon Huxley vs. Jack Starz and Levi Muir in a two-on-one handicap match on NXT UK.

The smaller of the two, Jack Starz, was in first against his towering opponent. Huxley made quick work of him before he tagged out. Muir was next, and although he possesses a much larger frame, the power of Huxley was overwhelming.

Starz and Muir double-teamed Huxley, taking him off his feet. But the advantage wouldn't last, as NXT UK's answer to Bruiser Brody took him down with a huge Lou Thesz press into a reverse chin lock. A gigantic gorilla press followed this grinding submission.

Huxley went on the warpath, and he took both opponents out with lariats outside the ring. A big bodyslam on Starz only got a two count. Muir ran in and fired off on Huxley with a double dropkick to stagger the big man. Starz took the advantage with an assisted sunset flip to score a shocking victory. After the match, Huxley attacked both winners, but "The Bomber" Dave Mastiff made the save.

Result: Jack Starz and Levi Muir beat Saxon Huxley on NXT UK

Grade: C

Following the match, NXT UK makes a major announcement in the women's division. In three weeks, Piper Niven will face Jinny get to settle their differences in a number one contender's match.

A second announcement followed, as next week's episode of NXT UK will be a special Christmas Eve edition.

Next up, A-Kid was in the ring with a microphone in hand. He talked up his Heritage Cup win and his amazing victory over Tyler Bate last week. A-Kid then stated that he wants to be the best in the company. He challenged WALTER for the NXT UK Championship. Walter interrupted and said A-Kid is nothing special. The champion vowed that A-Kid's fairytale will end when they face each other.

Then, Trent Seven participated in a sit-down interview. He spoke candidly about his Heritage Cup loss and how it has affected him. Seven said there are things he needs to do, and he'll be stepping away for a while.

Rampage Brown vs. Josh Morrell on NXT UK.

NXT UK newcomer Josh Morrell got a not so warm welcome against Rampage Brown.

Brown overpowered his opponent at the bell, but Morrell used his speed to escape. A huge blackbody drop stopped the debutant’s flow, and Brown ploughed through him with brutish offense. Morrell tried to fight back, as he hit a dropkick and a flurry of strikes. More agile evasion is halted with a huge lariat from Brown. He followed that up with two nasty powerbombs for another emphatic victory.

Result: Rampage Brown defeated Josh Morrell on NXT UK

Grade: B

NXT UK assistant to the General Manager Sid Scala announced that if both parties agree to the terms, WALTER will soon defend the NXT UK Championship against vs A-Kid.

Gallus vs. The Hunt for the NXT UK Tag Team Championships.

Primate attacked Wolfgang at the bell with vicious blows. Wild Boar joined in, and they cut the ring in half with heavy strikes. Wolfgang managed to break free to tag in his partner.

Mark Coffey burst in to clean house and take out Wild Boar with a shoulder tackle. Gallus singled out one of their competitors, but a distraction from Eddie Dennis allowed The Hunt to take control. Primate targeted Coffey's back, and The Hunt showed off their well-oiled tag team skills by completely dominating Coffey for a large portion of the match. Wild Boar hit a big senton to the back of Coffey as Wolfgang cheered on his troubled teammate.

Coffey made the hot tag to Wolfgang, who exploded on Boar with a flurry of impressive offense. Dennis once again caused a distraction for his team, but "The Iron King" Joe Coffey came out to even the odds. The melee allowed Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster to attack The Hunt, which spelled the end for the Hunt and a victory for Gallus.

Result: Gallus retained the NXT UK Tag Team Championships against The Hunt.

Grade: B

To close the show, several tag teams brawled, as Pretty Deadly and Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter also made their way to the ring. Gallus stood tall as the show faded to black.
