WWE RAW 27th January 2014: 5 conclusions from the show

Even though, Royal Rumble was a decent PPV, it failed to be unanimously awesome. All thanks to Daniel Bryan’s absence in the Rumble match and the very predictable result of having Batista win it. Raw has to be a redemption of some sort. And now, it seems that the WWE has set its future course of action. Here are the five talking points of the night that might lead to something huge.

5. Daniel Bryan talks about the elephant in the room

Yes, he talked about what made the PPVv controversial- No Daniel Bryan in the Rumble match. Triple H and Stephanie danced around the bush and went on to call the Shield to control Bryan. Sheamus and Cena made the save and hence the tag match for the main event. But one thing was made clear with segment- the Yes Movement shall continue!

4. Brock Lesnar makes his stance clear

In a spectacular moment, Lesnar and Heyman made it crystal clear in front of Orton that they were here for the gold. This was expected since Lesnar’s umpteenth return to the roster but it still was a stirring moment to finally see him making his stance clear. The Authority did not budge. And Brock Lesnar had no opponent for the night. So…The Rampage. Though, this wasn’t devastating, Lesnar did break another chair thanks to the spines of Goldust and Cody Rhodes.

3. Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts in the Hall of Fame

The second inductee was revealed and even though he did not make a Rumble appearance, he will most surely be there for Wrestlemania. Roberts’ induction makes this year’s HoF list look golden. If WWE decides to go all Golden Era then a Macho Man induction can’t still be ruled out!

2. The main event

In what seems to have become a staple of the WWE in the past few months, having tag team matches in the main event has elevated the importance of the main event. The Shield added another match to their impressive resume of breathtaking matches. The exchange between Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan was riveting. Anyway, anytime Daniel Bryan was in action, it was riveting. The Yes Movement seems immortal at this stage.

1. The Wyatts Vs The Shield- Finally?

The Wyatts again prevented John Cena from getting a clean win. But in doing so they made Cena, Bryan and Sheamus win by disqualification, hence costing The Shield their spots at the Elimination Chamber. The members of the trio made their displeasure evident. This left the Wyatts at the end of the ramp, the victorious team in the middle of the ring and the Shield left fuming by the announcer’s table. Their might have been a lot of distance between the two behemoths this week. But they might just close that out with a long awaited battle soon.
