RAW Results: No.1 Contender crowned; Top Champion pinned twice

The Miz & Morrison kicked off RAW with Miz TV and their guest for the night was Charlotte Flair. Charlotte came out and started talking about Rhea Ripley and the RAW Women's Championship before Ripley walked out and joined them.

Charlotte tried to bring up the fact that Nikki Cross beat Ripley last week before they were joined by Cross as well. Nikki said that since she beat the champ, the winner of the Hell in a Cell title match should give her a shot at the gold.

Ripley admitted to the loss and said that Nikki earned her respect before Charlotte chimed in and Nikki challenged her as well. The Queen was offended and said that she could beat Nikki in a minute.

Nikki snapped and slapped Charlotte in the face, angering Flair and ensuring that she gets her match with her tonight.


Nikki Cross vs. Charlotte - Beat the Clock Challenge on RAW

Nikki rolled out of the ring early on, baiting Charlotte and letting the timer tick down. Cross was eventually caught with a knee before Charlotte sent her onto the top rope but Nikki recovered and managed to stay in the match.

Nikki hit the Tornado DDT and then a dropkick to take down Charlotte before the timer went off and the former Women's Tag Team Champion managed to pick up the win.

Riddle was backstage with Damian Priest and was learning Spanish from the Archer of Infamy. Randy showed up and congratulated Riddle on last week's win over Xavier Woods on RAW before asking him to watch his match from ringside tonight.


Randy Orton vs. Xavier Woods on RAW

Randy was looking for the RKO right away but Woods managed to hold on before being sent outside the ring. Randy knocked him head-first into the commentary table a few times before slamming him into it.

After a break on RAW, Woods managed to get some offense in with a dropkick and some strikes to the head. Randy powered through but went down for a near fall.

Randy went for the eye gouge before hitting the draping DDT from the second rope. Orton missed the RKO before hitting the Bro Derek for the win!

After the match, Riddle was elated and they celebrated together before Randy patted him on the shoulder and walked off.

Shayna Baszler vs. Reginald on RAW

Reginald was impressive at first and hit a bodyslam on Baszler before Shayna took out his knee and got an anklelock in. Reginald managed to hit a great spinning crossbody on the former Women's Tag Team Champion as the match continued.

Shayna went for the knee again and looked for the Khirafuda Clutch. The pyro went off again, and Shayna was distracted when Reggie managed to roll her up for the big win!

Grade: B

Drew McIntyre was backstage on RAW and reminded us that he beat Brock Lesnar in past, so Kofi shouldn't be much of a challenge.


Mace & T-Bar vs. Lucha House Party on RAW

Mace and T-Bar wanted to send a message to Lucha House Party but Gran Metalik and Dorado had the drop on T-Bar in the beginning of the match. Mace tagged in and they worked together to take out Metalik.

Mace and T-Bar took turns isolating Metalik and kept beating him down. They hit their massive Double Chokeslam finisher on Lucha House Party before picking up the win.

Alexa Bliss was backstage with Lilly and asked Reginald to be on Alexa's Playground tonight.


Sheamus was out next on RAW and said that he should have consolation prizes for all the challengers he beat already. He said he will face both Ricochet and Humberto, but one at a time. He asked who was brave enough to show up first and it was Ricochet.

Sheamus was sent outside after the early brawl and Ricochet missed the slide before being dropped onto the barricade. Back in the ring, Ricochet took a top rope uppercut before Humberto's music hit.

Sheamus had Ricochet on his shoulders when the distraction was made and Ricochet managed to reverse and roll him over for the win on RAW. Sheamus was furious as he got ready to face his next opponent.

Sheamus vs. Humberto Carrillo on RAW

When we returned to RAW after a break, the match was underway and Sheamus had Carrillo on the ropes and managed to hit his trademark backbreaker. He then unloaded on him with the chops as Ricochet watched from ringside.

Sheamus took a big elbow and started bleeding as the match went on. After a bit of back and forth, Ricochet dragged Sheamus by the foot and let Carrillo get the pin on the US champ.

Result: Humberto Carrillo def. Sheamus.

Lana & Naomi vs. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke on RAW

Lana & Naomi isolated Brooke early in the match before Mandy got the tag and hit Naomi with a double-team move. Naomi fought back and got a near fall before Rose hit her with a knee to the jaw.

Lana came in with a jackknife pin attempt for a near-fall before taking on both opponents on RAW. Rose and Brooke hit a double-team neck breaker and picked up the win.

Cedric Alexander vs. Shelton Benjamin on RAW

Shelton hit Cedric with the big boot right out of the gate but Cedric shrugged it off and came back with his own offense.

Cedric hit the neuralizer out of nowhere after jabbing his thumb into Shelton's face before picking up the win very quickly.

Kofi Kingston was backstage and said that Drew took a cheap shot by mentioning Brock Lesnar. Kofi then said he beat Lashley but McIntyre could not, taking a dig of his own at the Scotsman.


AJ Styles & Omos vs. Elias & Jaxson Ryker - RAW Tag Team Title match

Styles and Elias kicked off the match and the latter tried to isolate AJ and keep him from making the tag early on.

Ryker tagged in on RAW and Styles sent him out of the ring before hitting a huge dive on both challengers.

AJ tagged in Omos and Ryker went to his partner but Elias moved away from and walked off from the match.

Ryker was disrespectful to Elias earlier and The Drifter wanted revenge. Omos was in and put the claw on Ryker before tossing him in the corner and hitting him with the splash.

Omos threw Ryker again and hit another hip attack and a clothesline. He tagged in AJ for the Phenomenal Forearm and Styles picked up the win for his team.

Result: AJ Styles & Omos def. Elias & Jaxson Ryker to retain the RAW Tag Titles

Backstage, Reginald ran into Nia who told her to reconsider going on Alexa's Playground. Reggie said it would be okay and headed there.


Elias was backstage and said that Ryker's priorities were "outta whack" and wanted to teach him a lesson. He didn't want to be around Ryker anymore.

Reginald was on Alexa's Playground on RAW and after the introductions, Lilly asked about his time at Cirque du Soleil before Shayna attacked him and took him out. Shayna sat on the swing and Alexa said Lilly didn't like her.

Shayna said that Alexa was a problem for her and she would solve it next week. She then spoke to Lilly and called her a "stupid doll" before walking off.


Mansoor was with the Viking Raiders and they were teaching him about war cries before Ali came up and told him not to trust anyone.


Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston on RAW

Drew had the upper hand early in the No.1 Contender's match and knocked Kofi around before The New Day member sent him outside and hit a dive from the apron before we headed for a break.

Back on RAW, Kofi was still in trouble but managed to get an inside cradle for a near fall. Kofi hit the SOS for another close call and it looked like Kofi was finally gaining some ground.

Kofi hit a huge dive to the outside but was caught by McIntyre who tossed him over the barricades. After another break on RAW, Drew hit a backbreaker before locking in a stretch hold.

Kofi reversed a top-rope setup into a powerbomb and nearly pinned Drew. Kofi tried for the SOS but failed before taking a spinning Futureshock DDT. On the top rope, Drew missed the Superplex but managed to toss Kofi off.

Kofi came back with a Trouble In Paradise but Drew broke the following pin by grabbing on to the ropes. Kofi hit a double stomp on Drew on the apron before diving from the top but Drew caught him with the Claymore! The mid-air Claymore took Kofi out for good before Drew got the pin.

Results: Drew McIntyre def. Kofi Kingston and will face Lashley for the WWE title at Hell in a Cell

Drew and Kofi shook hands after the match before Lashley and MVP walked out.

We got a big opening match from Charlotte and Nikki Cross on RAW tonight. Randy Orton and Riddle shared a wholesome moment at Xavier Woods' expense while Sheamus took two losses in a row. Styles and Omos defended their titles while we got a rematch for the No.1 Contender's bout from last week.
