Bad blood between Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow
At the Money in the Bank PPV, Cody Rhodes was the stand out performer, putting on one of the best performances of his career!
Cody almost won the match before his partner, Damien Sandow pushed him off the ladder and retrieved the briefcase himself, thus earning the right to get a match for the World Heavyweight championship at any time or place he chooses.
Rhodes was cheated out of the briefcase, and Cody didn’t take it lightly. On RAW, after his match with Christian, Sandow was attacked by Rhodes, and Sandow had to flee through the crowd.
On Smackdown! this week, Sandow told Cody they were still partners and best friends, and wanted to put the whole thing behind them. However, Cody was less than interested, and ended up attacking Sandow once again.
I’m happy to see Team Rhodes Scholars being relevant again, as Cody is one of the most talented superstars and Sandow is one of the most entertaining superstars on the roster. It’ll be fun to see how this feud develops as we head to Summerslam.
