The Royal Rumble is just around the corner and we couldn't be more excited. More often than not, the hype can be even bigger than WrestleMania. The Royal Rumble match alone is such a big draw and leads to so much anticipation.

Last year, we were in for a surprise because the Men's Royal Rumble match didn't main event the show, but the first-ever Women's Rumble did. In hindsight, this was clearly done so that they could debut Ronda Rousey at the end of the show.

This year, however, things may be different. There's not going to be a big debut at the end of the show, but it's still very possible that WWE has the women main eventing the Royal Rumble for a second consecutive year. After all, if Becky Lynch is rumoured to win, then she'll need as much rest as possible before competing in the Rumble match.

But this is about the Men's match, and it's going to be star-studded and exciting. Let's take a look at five potential finishes for the Men's Rumble match!

#5. Braun Strowman wins

When Braun Strowman enters the Royal Rumble, there's guaranteed dominance. He won the Greatest Royal Rumble match in 2018, breaking the record and getting 13 eliminations. However, we personally don't like to count the Greatest Royal Rumble records along with the regular Rumble, because the match in Saudi Arabia didn't have the same prestige or consequences that the normal Rumble match did.

However, with Strowman having been pulled from the Lesnar Universal title match, it's very clear that he will be entering the Royal Rumble. Here, he could set the precedent for the most eliminations in Rumble history.

Expect nothing short of a dominant performance from The Monster Among Men. It'll be hard to get him over the top rope!

#4. Drew McIntyre wins

It's clear that Drew McIntyre is Vince McMahon's big project for 2019. He got fired from the company in 2014, and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. He would travel the world, hone his craft, improve his physique in the most impressive way possible and become a much more well-rounded performer.

He would then make his way back to WWE and capture the NXT title before getting injured and called-up to the main roster. He's been pushed as a dominant star and fans most definitely expect McIntyre to make the final four and potentially even the final two.

With his look, his skill and credibility, don't be surprised if McIntyre overcomes 29 other men to win the entire Rumble. This would certainly mean that he's being groomed for the Universal Championship sooner than we think.

Fans likely wouldn't protest a Drew McIntyre win either.

#3. Seth Rollins wins

With Roman Reigns, unfortunately, being away from the ring for the foreseeable future, it seems obvious that The Architect Seth Rollins is being poised to take his place. He's the clear-cut favourite to win the Royal Rumble match, and this year, we're most likely going to see Rollins have his moment.

It makes sense. Rollins was written out of the Intercontinental title picture and his focus will now be on the Rumble and the Universal Championship. The rumours state that Rollins will be the one to eventually slay The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35.

Frankly speaking, there's no better option to win the Royal Rumble and no better option to defeat Brock Lesnar. While we would all love to see Finn Balor slay The Beast at the Rumble, we know that isn't happening.

Moreover, Rollins is long overdue for a Royal Rumble victory, and 2019 seems to be his year.

#2. A 1994-like finish for Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre

If you're not familiar, we'll give you the background. The year was 1994 and the finish of the Royal Rumble match was controversial. Bret Hart and Lex Luger, the two biggest babyfaces in WWE at the time had both fallen on the ground at the same time.

Seeing as though there was no conclusive winner, both Hart and Luger were declared the co-winners of the Royal Rumble. While WWE solved this by restarting the match in 2005 between John Cena and Batista, they can conveniently change the rules when they like.

Both McIntyre and Rollins could end up being knocked out at the same time and be declared as co-Royal Rumble winners. This would likely set up a date at WrestleMania for a Triple Threat bout. Admittedly, we hope that this doesn't happen.

There should be a conclusive winner of the Rumble.

#1. Shawn Michaels wins, challenges Daniel Bryan

You're probably wondering why this is even an entry on this list. We like to think outside the box, and with Shawn Michaels having returned for a one-off at Crown Jewel in November, we'd like to think that there's a remote possibility of him making another comeback run.

With no rumoured plan for Daniel Bryan and the WWE Championship, wouldn't it be crazy if The Heartbreak Kid were to return and win the Royal Rumble for the third time? This would finally set up the dream match between him and Daniel Bryan.

HBK proved that he can still go, outperforming three other legends in their Crown Jewel match. While HBK himself admitted that he wouldn't like to return to the ring, how could he resist a dream match against Daniel Bryan?

Bryan would need to win of course, but it's something we never imagine would happen in our wildest dreams.
