The Biggest Party of the Summer is almost on the horizon. SummerSlam's 32nd edition is shaping up to be a stacked card and will emanate from Toronto, Canada.

If one looks back in time, one thing that always has been a constant with the Toronto fans is their strange reception to WWE's babyfaces and heels. The Toronto crowd's unorthodox stance on babyfaces and heels was on full display at WrestleMania 18, where they cheered the returning Hollywood Hogan over The Rock.

Over the course of the next few years, Toronto booed babyfaces like Edge, John Cena, Eugene, Bayley, and many more. Now that WWE is coming back to Toronto for its 2nd biggest show of the year, expect history to repeat itself at the Scotiabank Arena. The question is, which babyface will get booed out of the building? Here are 5 babyfaces who might get booed by the Toronto fans this coming Sunday.

#5 Bayley, again

Bayley
Bayley

Let's go back a couple of years in the past.

The August 7, 2017 edition of Monday Night Raw saw Bayley being featured in a segment where she talked about her injury that put her out of the upcoming SummerSlam match against Alexa Bliss. To Bayley's utter shock, the Toronto fans booed her out of the building during the promo. WWE announcer Corey Graves acknowledged the booing and referred to Toronto as "Bizarro World".

What has changed in the past two years, when it comes to Bayley's character? She's still the always happy, lovable character she was back in 2017. This seems like a recipe for disaster this Sunday in Toronto. Expect Bayley to be booed again in her match against Ember Moon at SummerSlam. The fact that Moon was dangling in the mid-card for a long while before finally getting a shot at the title could be a plus for her in regards to the crowd reception at SummerSlam.

#4 Kofi Kingston

Although the WWE title victory at WrestleMania 35 was an incredibly cool moment for Kofi and The New Day, his reign hasn't exactly moved the rating meter on the blue brand. He will face Randy Orton at SummerSlam, with the WWE title on the line.

This is the same Randy Orton who won the World title for the first time in his career, at SummerSlam 2004, in Toronto! To top it off, he was heavily cheered by the fans in attendance that night, despite being a member of the heel faction, Evolution. Now, The Legend Killer will return to Toronto 15 years later as The Apex Predator and is again challenging for the top title. Despite Kofi being one of the biggest underdogs of all time, and a genuinely loved character, he just might get booed by at least some sections of the crowd at SummerSlam.

#3 Natalya or Becky Lynch

This is an incredibly tough one!

Becky Lynch gets genuine cheers whenever she ascends down the ramp. "The Man" is as close to an anti-hero as you can get. Lynch's mannerisms are something the Toronto crowd would cheer for without an ounce of hesitation.

On the other hand, there's Natalya, Canada's pride. Now she could have been booed simply for being a babyface, similar to how Edge was booed back at SummerSlam 2004. But Natalya wasn't exactly a babyface on this week's Raw. She kept the Sharpshooter locked on Lynch, after being disqualified for not letting go of Lynch despite "The Man" holding on to the ropes.

It would be very interesting to see which way the crowd goes this Sunday at SummerSlam. Will they boo the cool anti-hero in Becky Lynch, or will they boo their own Natalya? It's still not clear whether Natalya is now a full-fledged heel. If she comes out at SummerSlam, all smiling and shaking kids' hands, prepare to see the crowd turn on her in quick succession.

#2 Goldberg

Goldberg

Back in 2016, WWE executed Goldberg's return to perfection and shocked the Toronto fans by letting him squash Brock Lesnar in a matter of seconds. Now though, things have changed drastically. Goldberg recently met Undertaker in what many would deem as the worst match of the year. He has now returned back to WWE to face Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam. The match could very well be a quick squash, but will the Toronto fans cheer Goldberg again?

Toronto has always preferred cheering underdogs, heels, and the ones who rarely get a shot at the top prize. Dolph Ziggler is all of these things combined, whereas Goldberg is currently a former wrestler who is coming back to supposedly squash Ziggler. This looks like it might not end well for Goldberg, and he could get booed out of the building in Toronto.

#1 Seth Rollins

What a big difference a few months make!

Seth Rollins was the most over babyface in WWE earlier this year. He went on to defeat Brock Lesnar in the opening match of WrestleMania 35 to win the Universal title. Rollins was soon paired up with real-life partner Becky Lynch and was put into a feud with Baron Corbin of all people.

Rollins' character has gotten bland over the past few weeks. His comments on Twitter declaring that WWE "is the best pro-wrestling in the world" didn't go well with the majority of fans, plus his shot at NJPW star Will Ospreay hurt his reputation among the WWE Universe. On this week's Raw, Rollins suffered another beatdown at the hands of Lesnar and was met with "what?" chants as he cut a promo after Brock left. Don't be surprised if the Toronto fans take these incidents into account and shower Rollins with the biggest negative reaction of his career.
