WWE has an interesting show planned for Survivor Series 2021

We are all set for WWE Survivor Series 2021, the last of the company’s big-four annual pay-per-views. Several high-profile matches are scheduled for the event, and the creative team needs to avoid making some crucial mistakes.

Apart from the matches discussed in this article, WWE has also confirmed a 25-man Dual Brand Battle Royal to honor the 25th anniversary of The Rock’s debut.

Here, we will look at things that shouldn’t happen at Survivor Series and things that should. So, without further ado, let’s begin.

#5 Shouldn’t happen at WWE Survivor Series 2021: Roman Reigns picks up a clean victory

The biggest match of Survivor Series would be the one between Universal Champion Roman Reigns and WWE Champion Big E. The two superstars are likely to headline the pay-per-view.

Fans have been waiting to watch this clash unfold for a long time, even back when both superstars were on the same brand. Back when the New Day member held the Money in the Bank contract, fans had hoped to see it cashed in on The Tribal Chief.

Big E eventually moved on to RAW, where he won the WWE Championship after defeating Bobby Lashley. He is now the top champion on the Red brand and will represent the same at Survivor Series.

While he has not been booked as strongly as Roman Reigns, he deserves to be treated just as well – especially if the company wants to restore RAW’s credibility. Big E has enjoyed a great push over the last couple of weeks and should be booked just as strongly at the pay-per-view.

RAW and SmackDown’s final shows before Survivor Series worked extensively to build on the hype surrounding E vs. Reigns. First, The Tribal Chief sent his cousins to the Red brand to send a message. Jey and Jimmy Uso tried to intimidate Big E, but the latter held the upper hand during their confrontation.

He floored both the tag team champions to showcase his intent for when he meets Roman Reigns.

Fast forward to SmackDown, The Bloodline bullied Xavier Woods. Reigns stomped on his crown in the opening segment, humiliating the King. This led to him challenging the Universal Champion to a match in the main event.

Roman Reigns was confident about relying on The Usos right before his segment with Woods, but the King had other plans. He had called Big E to the show, and the WWE Champion made a huge statement ahead of Survivor Series by attacking all members of The Bloodline.

It is pretty evident that Reigns will stand tall after their bout on Sunday. But it still made Big E look just as good as his SmackDown counterpart, leaving room for a more well-balanced main event at Survivor Series.

The potential interference from The Usos or Paul Heyman has been synonymous with Roman Reigns’ title reign. Another clash with the same finish won’t chip away at his credibility and will protect Big E. The WWE Champion already has incredible title challengers like Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens awaiting him on RAW.

#4 Should happen at WWE Survivor Series 2021: Non-controversial finish to Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair

One of the biggest matches scheduled for Survivor Series 2021 is the battle between the two women’s champions, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. There have been several reports of a real-life feud between the two former best friends.

Lynch and Flair’s recent comments about each other have also fanned the flames, including The Man openly saying that both superstars are no longer on talking terms.

Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair were involved in an awkward segment while exchanging their titles last month. They have not come face to face since then, but they have not held back from berating each other as well.

The WWE Universe is excited to see what will unfold when the two superstars face each other at Survivor Series. It would be a huge mistake if the creative team scripts an underwhelming finish.

A rolled-up pinfall or weak finisher would entirely undermine the build-up to this match so far. The Queen is Lynch’s biggest rival in WWE, and this in-ring bout will do well in truly establishing The Man’s dominance on the women’s division.

It is only fair if she gets to celebrate another big moment with a memorable clash against Charlotte Flair this Sunday.

#3 Shouldn't happen at WWE Survivor Series 2021: RK-Bro lose to The Usos

WWE Survivor Series will witness the tag team champions from RAW and SmackDown engage in a memorable bout. The upcoming pay-per-view will pit The Usos against RK-Bro in the battle for brand supremacy.

This match will see two fan-favorite duos face each other on the show, but it is Randy Orton and Riddle's team that should walk away with the victory.

The Viper and his partner share an excellent dynamic on-screen despite their polar opposite characters. They have not even been involved in many memorable tag team feuds but have still managed to be the most prominent names on RAW.

However, Orton and Riddle do have several teams waiting to challenge them for the gold after the pay-per-view. Thus, they will make a strong statement at Survivor Series if they defeat The Usos, who are widely regarded as one of the best tag teams the business has ever seen.

It's worth noting that Randy Orton is set to compete in his 15th Survivor Series, but that's not all. Come Sunday, he will also set the record for most pay-per-view matches by anyone in WWE history.

Orton deserves to cap off the moment with a victory, especially considering how hard he has worked to elevate the Red brand in the last couple of years.

#2 Should happen at WWE Survivor Series 2021: Damian Priest wins against Shinsuke Nakamura

Another match at Survivor Series will witness United States Champion Damian Priest take on Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura. This might be the easiest result to predict ahead of the pay-per-view.

It should end with the RAW Superstar bagging a victory for his brand. He has enjoyed an excellent push since winning the title and has delivered great matches over the last few months.

In contrast, Shinsuke Nakamura has been involved in a comparatively uneventful title reign on SmackDown. Apart from a couple of one-off matches, he hasn’t found himself in any significant feud.

Not that someone of his stature needs a build-up, but it is still sad to see that the creative team isn’t exploiting The King of Strong Style’s potential. That said, Nakamura is bound to elevate his opponent at the pay-per-view.

A good match against the Japanese superstar could work wonders for Priest’s current run. He is meant to be in the main event picture, but he needs good wins in high-profile matches.

Survivor Series could be the start of that booking before he faces other top names on the Red brand. Hopefully, the writers will make the most of this opportunity to get Damian Priest more over with the crowd.

#1 Shouldn’t happen at WWE Survivor Series 2021: Missed opportunities with the traditional matches

WWE Survivor Series will feature two traditional five-on-five elimination matches. The men’s and women’s teams from both RAW and SmackDown look strong and have the right momentum on their side ahead of their much-awaited clash.

That said, all four teams have a lot of underlying plots that should be used to book much-awaited feuds after the pay-per-view. Let’s take a look at how some of them can help create exciting storylines.

Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens are both a part of the RAW men’s team. Both superstars have been involved in a feud, and there’s bound to be friction when they compete together.

Rollins is next in line to challenge Big E for the WWE Championship, but he will need more people like Kevin Owens to pose a threat to the world title. Survivor Series can help add fuel to their budding rivalry, laying the groundwork for an intense feud in the months to come.

The same can be said for the men’s team from SmackDown. The creative team have done well in not putting Drew McIntyre directly into a title feud with Roman Reigns. Instead, he is building more credibility on the Blue brand that would eventually allow him to pose a serious threat when he crosses paths with the Universal Champion.

Before that, he will have to compete on Survivor Series alongside Sheamus, his former best friend and rival.

Their storyline abruptly ended on RAW, but they will finally have a chance to engage in a more balanced feud on SmackDown. That would allow both superstars to carve a special spot for themselves on Friday night show after the pay-per-view.

Even the women’s teams offer similar opportunities. Liv Morgan would benefit significantly from leading the RAW women’s Survivor Series team to victory. That would give her more confidence before she challenges Becky Lynch for her title and make her look more credible.

It will be exciting to see all these superstars use their respective appearances at the upcoming event to move further up the roster.
