WWE Survivor Series: 5 potential lone survivors for Team Cena vs Team Authority

Survivor Series might not carry the same amount of hype that it used to carry back in the good old days, but this year’s edition has all the potential to be one of the most significant November outings in the recent years. The most exciting thing about the pay-per-view has to be its main event which apparently was the only match that got a proper build up as well. The Battle between Team Cena and Team Authority will either leave the roster with a lack of baby faces or would take the Authority down from power, and that angle ladies and gentlemen, is enough to attract some eyeballs.Battle lines have been drawn, predictions were made and now the only question that remains is about the potential Survivors from the match. So without much more time being wasted, here is a look at the superstars who could end up being the survivors of the match.

#5 Triple H

Oh wait, but Triple H is not in the main event is he?

If that the reaction you just had, well, don’t stress yourself out because he is not in the main event. However he could be. From what we saw throughout the year, Triple H still hasn’t lost a beat in between the ropes and it wouldn’t be a wonder if he decides to wrestle at Survivor Series.

The match is so important to Stephanie and Hunter that he might just replace someone from the team just to make sure that Authority comes out with the win.

And the favorite to be replaced here is Kane. The big red monster brings no subplot into the picture and replacing him with Hunter would be heavily exciting to say the least.

#4 Dolph Ziggler

Why? Because, he deserves it that’s why.

Ziggler has been the most beaten up name in Team Cena so far and all those beating made one thing clear: he is the most over superstar in the entire match.

The fans are firmly behind the Show off and if the idea of WWE is to attract fans to the Network the only thing they need to do is give what the fans want, which is Ziggler by the way.

The former Intercontinental champion ending up as the lone Survivor in a star studded match like this would keep his career back in place and give the company an great face in the main event scene. It would also be a slap in the face of Authority if Ziggler becomes the one who ends them once and for all.

#3 Seth Rollins

After splitting up from the Shield, Rollins has been travelling in a one way path to the stars and WWE could stamp his place there if he ends up being the lone survivor.

Rollins would be leading the charge of Team Authority at Survivor Series and if there is the chance of Authority getting a win, its lies entirely on the shoulder of Rollins.

The Architect becoming the man to pin Cena and becoming the Authority’s savior on Sunday, would make him the biggest heel in WWE. And since he has the Money in the bank briefcase with him, it would secure his future.

Pushing a younger talent would also be a great message by the company and in the end, the pay-per-view would go down in history for the rise of Rollins.

#2 Ryback

The Big Guy’s current run is encouraging not only for him but also for the fans. Last time when Ryback received a similar push, the company ended up botching the angle entirely.

This time looks destined to be a different affair. Ryback has apparently impressed the lights of Vince McMahon and Triple H for some reason and the fans have been always behind him in the first place.

WWE has big plans lined up for him according to the rumors and that might also include a one on one feud with Triple H in the future. For all this to happen, he needs to be pushed properly at Survivor Series.

Ryback being the lone Survivor will not only be a long term success story but it will also be an alternative to the regular Cena tantrums.

#1 John Cena

Did I mention about the regular Cena tantrums already?

It seems like that the English language needs to find new adjectives to describe how repetitive WWE’s booking of Cena is.

Cena deserves credit, period. He has been in the top of the Wrestling business for nearly a decade while the lights of Steve Austin and Rock went a maximum of almost five years. However, despite this resume, WWE needs to quit pushing Cena like he is a Superman.

Cena being the lone Survivor is the most likely outcome from Survivor Series because Cena doesn’t lose stuff like these. The last guy that cleanly defeated him was Brock Lesnar and that was like a miracle which came around once in a century.

So as they say, hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
