WWE TLC 2016: 5 Possible endings for The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler

Daniel Bryan does not have a good relationship with The Miz

One of the most anticipated matches of TLC would be the showdown between Dolph Ziggler and The Miz. These two would be facing each other in a ladder match for the Intercontinental championship and as the past has shown us, Ladder matches and Intercontinental championship provide a deadly combination.

Ziggler and Miz are two talented performers that could deliver big time at the show on Sunday night and just like all the matches on the card, WWE could pull off some surprises in these matches as well. In the slides that follow, we are going to list down the possible ways in which the match could end.

#5 Sami Zayn jumps to SmackDown

Zayn could flourish in SmackDown

Sami Zayn got his shot at the Intercontinental championship at Survivor Series. However, the win for Miz came with the help of Maryse who proved to be a distraction to Zayn during the match.

Zayn never got his rematch as he was on Raw and Miz moved forward in his feud with Dolph Ziggler.

Later, the relationship between Zayn and Raw General Manager Mick Foley got strained and rumours started circulating about a potential move for Zayn to SmackDown. If this is happening, TLC would be a great place to start.

Zayn could be a factor in deciding the winner at TLC, thereby announcing his entry into the SmackDown roster.

#4 Spirit Squad screw Ziggler again

Spirit Squad has been haunting Ziggler for some time now

The Spirit Squad came back to WWE after a long hiatus. They came directly into the Ziggler – Miz Storyline and have been a factor in the feud ever since. Now, on Sunday night, the ladder match opens the door for an interference from the Spirit Squad. While the ladders themselves add drama, more chaos and over booking is bound to happen.

One among this could be the screwing game from Spirit Squad. If WWE wants to keep the title on Miz, and at the same time keep Ziggler strong, letting the Spirit Squad help Miz would be a great idea. It’s just short term fix on the feud but if WWE is ending the storyline, then it would be a solid ending.

#3 The hot potato

Intercontinental title could also get the hot potato treatment

One of the major criticisms that the fans have for the Raw Women’s championship is about the frequency with which it changes hands. Charlotte and Sasha Banks have been winning and losing the gold for some time and if WWE lets Ziggler get a clean win over The Miz at TLC, the Intercontinental championship would also be travelling a similar path.

After losing the title to Ziggler back in October, Miz managed to win it back in just 37 days, and if he drops it again to Ziggler at TLC, his reign would just be under 20 days old.

It’s a booking decision that could put WWE under the scanner but at the same time, it is one of the most likely outcomes if we go by the rumours.

#2 Daniel Bryan – Miz Storyline advances

Bryan as a GM needs new storylines

Daniel Bryan might not be able to wrestle for the time being but WWE has been using him well to put over other stars. Bryan recently drew battle lines with Baron Corbin and this had put his storyline with Miz on the backseat.

WWE could reignite things at TLC if they make Bryan involved in the match. Bryan could be on ringside to make sure that the match goes fair and at some point, he could end up costing Miz the championship.

This way, WWE could have a superstar vs. Authority figure angle on SmackDown with the possibility of Miz jumping to Monday Night Raw. This would also keep him protected while Ziggler could have the gold.

#1 Miz does it clean

And Still?

This would be a big blow for Dolph Ziggler. Considering that the Miz has been playing a heavy heel role lately, the fans naturally expect him to use tainted ways to win.

But if Miz goes on to climb the ladder and grab that belt without taking any shortcuts, it would be a surprise ending. While it makes Miz look good, Ziggler instantly loses his stock value when he suffers such a defeat.

But at the same time, this would be a good way to end the feud completely. Ziggler would have no point to raise about a potential rematch and WWE will have to move forward and create new feuds for both parties.
