It was expected that the Survivor Series PPV was something to look forward to. A return was anticipated but it wasn’t the way we expected it. Rather, it exceeded our expectations and it paved the way to one of the greatest main events in recent times. The Authority lost, but it went out with a bang. So many things were teased, but it turned out to be so unpredictable. There was a question in the air, if not the Authority then who? Who will run things around here?Think we have the answer.

#1 Ziggler\'s gutsy performance

For the second time in his life, Ziggler became the lone Survivor and that is no small feat. Why? He could have easily been overshadowed by the assault he took. he could have easily been eliminated any time, he could have floundered by the overwhelming chants for Orton to return but he survived.

He went through a Harper suicide dive, a Powerbomb, a clothesline and a super kick, but he still eliminated Harper, Kane before finally pinning Seth Rollins with some well deserved help. But through it all, he stole the show. It was one performance that you are going to remember.

#2 All the eliminations

All the eliminations were flawless. All of them. Every exclusion got a reaction. All of them happened in some unexpected order. Rusev’s disqualification, Big Show’s betrayal, John Cena went out at Number 3 and Ryback’s early elimination after such a build in weeks and Mark Henry was literally knocked out.

All of them accentuated the drama. It was a move that felt carefully knitted for that one return in the end. It does seem so. But still, if that’s the reason then it paid off. It gave this main event a meaningful story and a match that might just turn out to be the best of the year.

#3 Finally! The long awaited return

No, it wasn’t randy Orton and that could have been some serious disappointment. but WWE came out with a masterstroke. Sting returned to the WWE or rather made his debut and he came face to face with Triple H and gave him a sting attack.

It was spectacular. the crowd totally marked out. If there was any big return that could happen in the WWE this year,it is this.

We might just have a great power figure in Sting in the coming weeks.

#4 Desperation and Despair

Triple H and Stephanie and their expressions really sold the heck out of this match. they were wonderful, especially Triple H. he tried till the end to save himself from being kicked out of power.

Desperately so. He kicked and crawled and bit the dust eventually. He took out two referees. He tried to take out everyone who came in his sight, who could have put him out of power.

And then he lost! That led to a first real, real Yes Chant in the WWE since Bryan’s absence.

#5 The crowd

Oh, how art thou, St. Louis,Missouri! The action in the ring was just so exciting that it is difficult to thing the crowd would have reacted otherwise. It was an electric crowd probably waiting for their hometown boy to return, instead they were treated for the incredible, the unthinkable.

Such a great way to send the crowd home happy and if it helps, they chanted ‘You are fired’ to the power couple.
