Ryan Prager is an American left-handed pitcher who is currently ranked in the Top 150 athletes in the 2024 MLB Draft. He started playing high school baseball at Hillcrest High School where he set the school record for most strikeouts as a senior. In his final year of prep school, Prager posted a 0.44 ERA with 136 strikeouts in just 63 innings. The 6ft 3inch left-handed pitcher signed a letter of intent to play baseball for Texas A&M Aggies after going undrafted in the 2021 class.
Prager embarked on his collegiate journey with the Aggies but struggled for game time in his rookie campaign in 2022. In just 10 games with nine starts, Prager posted a 1-4 record with a 5.16 ERA and struck out 53 batters in 59.1 innings of work. The following season as a sophomore, Prager underwent a Tommy John surgery that ruled him out for the season and he took a redshirt. After missing out on the 2023 season, Prager posted a 9-1 record with a 2.95 ERA and struck out 124 hitters in just 97.2 innings.
