Black Ops 6 Season 1 will arrive with three brand new maps, including:

  • Hideout: A medium-sized map that doubles as a training site.
  • Extraction: A medium-sized map situated in Avalon.
  • Heirloom: A compact-sized map featuring a fine arts museum.

These maps will be available in the game at the very beginning. However, players can expect Racket and Hacienda to drop during a future mid-season update. Racket is a new small-sized 2v2/6v6 map that takes one to an underground bank vault, while Hacienda is a fan-favorite that will be returning to the game.

A festive-themed Nuketown variant will also be released by the end of 2024.

The Season 1 update of Black Ops 6 will let fans in on some new game modes, including the following:

  • Ransack Mode
  • Prop Hunt

The Ransack Mode pits teams against one another in a search for gold bars scattered across the 6v6 maps and inside crates. Once a player secures their loot, they must take it back to their team's stash and keep it safe. Teams can raid and steal from each other's stash and the the side that reaches the score limit or has the most gold by the end of the time limit, wins.

Apart from that, the fan-favorite party mode, Prop Hunt, is set to return. Here, players must drop as either props or prop hunters. As props, they must disguise themselves as objects and hide as best as they can. However, they'll be forced to whistle uncontrollably every 30 seconds while prop hunters try to shoot them down.

Gamers can also expect new Limited Time Modes to arrive in future Black Ops 6 Season 1 updates.

Ranked play is about to receive some major updates on November 21, 2024, after the release of Black Ops 6 Season 1. While the basics of Multiplayer Ranked mode remain the same, one can expect new and improved features in the gameplay.

For starters, players must earn 50 wins in Matchmade Multiplayer games to access ranked play in Black Ops 6. Wins earned before the beginning of Season 1 also count towards unlocking ranked play.

Apart from that, the Progressive Rank and Victory Stars system has been removed. A player's rank will now represent what used to be their Skill Division and Tier in the game. Now, they must earn Skill Rating and progress through 8 separate Ranks.

Furthermore, new features like Map and Mode Veto, Forfeit, and Loss Forgiveness will be added to the game. Their descriptions are as follows:

  • Map and Mode Veto: Teams can veto one out of three map + mode options presented by the game ahead of a Ranked match.
  • Forfeit: Teams can vote to surrender and lay down their arms early if they're facing unbearable losses in a match.
  • Loss Forgiveness: Each player's first loss of the day is forgiven and no SR is deducted. These do not stack up.

There will be a maximum round cap of 15 with Side Quests and S.A.M. Trials disabled so players can focus on the narrative and nothing else.

Players can also expect a new map – Citadelle des Morts – to arrive in a future mid-season update.
