Mackenzie Mgbako NIL Deal

Mackenzie Mgbako, born November 18, 2004, is a small forward who arrived at Bloomington last summer and was honored with Big Ten Freshman of the Year in his debut campaign. The 6ft 8inch small forward started his collegiate journey with the Indiana Hoosiers despite committing to Duke during his junior year of prep school. However, he decommitted from Duke to sign with Indiana Hoosiers and also received offers from Kansas, Memphis, Kentucky, Auburn, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, and a few more. In his freshman season, Mgbako was one of the two Hoosiers to start all 33 games. He averaged 12.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 27.1 minutes per game. Mgbako was named All-Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Year and shared the honor with Iowa's Owen Freeman.

Coming out of Roselle Catholic High School, Mgbako was rated a five-star recruit and was the No.3 player to come out of the state of New Jersey in the 2023 recruiting class. During his senior year, he averaged 16.3 points and 9.2 rebounds and was selected to participate in the 2023 McDonald’s All-American Boys Game. Mgbako’s attacking play became more pivotal in the final weeks of the regular season and scored his career-high 24 points against Maryland.

Mackenzie Mgbako has inked NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deals since he began his journey with Indiana in 2023. His NIL Deal valuation has not been made public as of October 2024. Mgbako has signed to become an NIL ambassador for Hoosier Hysterics. He also partnered with G Fuel, Crocs, and Hoosiers For Good.
