Mason Gillis, born November 24, 2000, is a power forward who joined the Duke Blue Devils for the 2024-25 season. The 6ft 6inch power forward began his collegiate journey with Purdue where he was a four-year starter for the program. Gillis sat out in the freshman season and redshirted the year. In the 2020-21 season as a redshirt freshman, he appeared in all 28 games and averaged 5.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. His breakout campaign came during his junior season when he posted 6.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. Last season, Gillis tallied 6.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game in all 39 games and was honored with the Big Ten's Sixth Man of the Year award. In four years at Purdue, Gillis recorded career totals of 827 points, 548 rebounds, and 179 assists.

Coming out of New Castle High School, Gillis was rated a four-star recruit and was the No.7 player to come out of the state of Indiana in the 2020 recruiting class. During his junior year, he led his school to the Class 3A Regional title while averaging 21.6 points, 12.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. Gillis turned down offers from Boston College, Indiana, Ohio State, Toledo, and Wisconsin to pursue his collegiate journey with Purdue Boilermakers.
