Will Riley is a Canadian forward for the Illinois Fighting Illini, a team competing in the Big Ten Conference of NCAA Division I. He is a freshman, as of June 2025. He was recognized as the Big Ten Freshman of the Week twice in the 2024-25 season. Riley was also named the inaugural Big Ten Freshman of the Week after he averaged 22.5 points with seven rebounds, as per the official Fighting Illini website.

In the 2024-25 season, Riley recorded a team-high 24 points including a career-high nine free throws with three rebounds against Ohio State. While competing against Michigan State, he recorded a game-high 19 points and six rebounds in 26 minutes. He registered seven points, six rebounds, and a career-high six assists against Penn State in his first start in college basketball. In his Big Ten debut against Northwestern, Riley scored 12 points in addition to recording three rebounds and two assists.
