Keyonteze 'Tez' Johnson is a former collegiate football wide receiver for the Oregon Ducks in the Big Ten Conference. His hometown is in Pinson, Alabama and began his football career at Pinson Valley High School. He graduating from high school, he committed to the Troy University in 2020. In 2023, Johnson transferred to Oregon State University.

In two seasons at Oregon, he posted a single-season record with 86 receptions in 2023 and 83 in 2024. He was the 12th Duck ever to register over 2,000 career receiving yards, with 2,080 in two seasons. Tez Johnson was adopted at the age of 15, as per MSN. His biological mother is Shamika Johnson. However, she goes by the name Shamika Posey. Not many details are known about the biological father of Johnson, including his name. After his father committed suicide when he was an infant, Shamika had sent Johnson to stay with the Nix family after Johnson was having troubled home life growing up. Even though he was never legally adopted, Johnson wanted to stay with the Nix family and even remained close with his biological mother.

Tez Johnson’s adoptive family

Tez Johnson was adopted by the couple of Patrick Nix and Krista Chapman, as per MSN. Nix was himself a college footballer, and also a football coach at the Pinson Valley High School in Alabama. Nix and Chapman are also the parents of Bo Nix, Denver Broncos' starting quarterback. Nix was born on February 25, 2000, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, USA. Both the brothers attended Pinson Valley High School together where they helped the team win the class 6A state championship.

Bo Nix began his graduation at Auburn University in 2019, before transferring to Oregon State University for his senior year. Besides Bo Nix, Caleb Nix is also the son of Patrick Nix and Krista Chapman. Like his two brothers, Caleb is a college footballer, who represents the Clemson Tigers Football team for Clemson University.
