DJ Bravo to release new song 'Asia' dedicated to Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and other Asian stars
What's the story?
West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, who has retired from all forms of international cricket, has recently released a new song named 'Asia', which is based on Asia's star cricketers. DJ Bravo has covered all the top Asian cricketers of the modern era, like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Shahid Afridi, Mahela Jayawardene, Shakib Al Hasan, Rashid Khan and Kumar Sangakkara in the 'Asia' song.
Dwayne Bravo is known for singing pop songs, and the Chennai Super Kings player's songs have gained a huge amount of popularity worldwide, especially in India. He had recorded a special song for the CSK fans titled 'We are The Kings' in 2018, after the franchise won the IPL that year.
The heart of the matter..
Dwayne Bravo's song 'Asia' is like a tribute to all the great Asian cricketers, who have worked hard and uplifted their respective nations' status in the world of cricket. If we look at the cricketers which Bravo has chosen, all of them are or were the flag-bearers of their country in the world of cricket. So, this song is a fitting tribute to all the legends.
The Champion mentioned in the caption of his Instagram post that the song featuring all the Asian greats will release during the IPL season. The song's teaser starts with Sri Lanka, followed by India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan's cricketers.
Shahid Afridi wished him best for this song on Twitter -
Dwayne Bravo is currently playing in the Big Bash League and soon, the all-rounder will be seen in action playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) commencing in March. This also means that the 'Asia' song will roll out at the end of March, and it will be interesting to see what kind of response the song generates.
