Based in Mullanpur, Mohali, Punjab, Punjab Kings (PBKS) are one of the franchises playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Formerly called Kings XI Punjab, the team started their IPL journey in 2008 before changing to their present name in February 2021. PBKS are owned by K.P.H. Dream Cricket Private Limited.
PBKS are coached by former Australian capttain Ricky Ponting and are captained by Shreyas Iyer in the IPL 2025. They have been represented by legendary players like Adam Gilchrist, David Miller, Virender Shehwag, Chris Gayle, among others in the past. However, they have yet to become the IPL champions, as of May 2025.

PBKS Injury Replacement
Mitchell Owen, who was signed for INR 3 crore, came in as a replacement for Glenn Maxwell after the latter was ruled out of the IPL 2025 owing to injury. Kyle Jamieson was also roped in for INR 2 crore to replace Lockie Ferguson, who is out with a hamstring injury.
