After narrowly missing out on the playoffs berth in IPL 2022, the Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals (DC) will look for an improved show in the forthcoming season.

DC released 4 players ahead of the IPL 2023 auction. They also traded seam-bowling all-rounder with KKR batter Aman Khan. The 2020 finalists had a good outing at the auction where they picked up some explosive T20 players who can win it for them in the upcoming 2023 IPL season.

DC went on to add 5 more players to their squad in the auction. They brought in some of the veterans of the IPL in the form of Manish Pandey who’ll be a good addition to their middle order. Alongside, Ishant Sharma also made his place in the side who has had huge success in the DC jersey over the years. Rilee Rossouw was bagged for INR 4.6 crore who’ll strengthen their opening to a great extent. Here’s the list of players bought by DC:

IPL 2023 Auction Rules

Here are the rules that each of the 10 franchises will have to follow in the IPL 2023 Auction-

• Each team should shell out at least 75% of their total purse.

• Each franchise needs to bolster their squad with at least 17 Indian players. The maximum Indian players which they can add to their squad is 25.

• As far as overseas players are concerned, the maximum available slots are 8.

• The 'Right to Match' (RTM) card option will not be available in the 2023 auction.

IPL 2023 Auction DC's Purse Value

The finalists of the 2020 edition released a total of 4 players from the squad that featured in the 2022 season, in addition to trading Shardul Thakur with KKR's Aman Khan.

As a result, DC had 5 slots to fill in the IPL auction 2023, and they still had INR 19.45 crores in their purse.
