N. Srinivasan claims people are 'jealous' of CSK because of M.S. Dhoni

N. Srinivasan lashed out at all those opposing him by saying that people are ‘jealous’ of his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings due the presence of Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Srinivasan, who has a turbulent couple of months ever since the IPL spot-fixing fiasco, addressed a function for the first time after the entire controversy that saw his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan finding himself behind bars, which resulted in Srinivasan having to step down from his position.

“Why do you think people are jealous of CSK (Chennai Super Kings)? It is because of Dhoni. There was a savage attack on me (recently) because I have Dhoni,” said Srinivasan.

He continued praising Dhoni, calling him an unmatched captain.

“On the field Dhoni never showed his emotions and was an intelligent cricketer and a simple man,” Srinivasan said.

“Former Indian coach Gary Kirsten once said that on the field, no one can equal Dhoni as a captain.”
