It was during a game between Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals, led by Siddhesh Lad, and Triumphs Knights Mumbai North East, led by Suryakumar Yadav, at the Wankhede on Thursday, June 5.

Rohit Sharma, who was at the stadium, was in the middle for the toss and flipped the coin, with the two captains Lad and Suryakumar looking on. Rohit was dressed in a casual blue T-shirt with jeans and shoes and had a smile on his face while tossing the coin.

Rohit Sharma will be away from the game after the IPL 2025 season

Rohit Sharma, who played for the Mumbai Indians in the recently concluded IPL 2025 season, will be away from the game for a while. The Indian team is set to play England in a five-match away Test series beginning this month.

Rohit announced his retirement from Test cricket before the England series, so he won't be in action. Having retired from T20Is as well, he will next be seen on the field only when India play an ODI series.
