Rahane can be in the fray

Ajinkya Rahane has had a forgettable last year or so in Test cricket, but his record in the One-day format in the same period has been very good. He has currently not been picked in the squad for the Asia Cup but there are enough games to be played from now till the mega event.

Rahane will definitely get a look in before the World Cup starts in the ODI series in Australia, where the ball swings and he can be a fulcrum in the batting order. As far as white ball cricket is concerned and he has improved his rate of scoring runs significantly over the years, which was a major reason why captains hesitated to select him before.
