The Australian surprised many when he was selected for the national team without any experience in first-class cricket. David Warner went on to score a stunning 89 off 43 in his debut T20I match against South Africa, making a smashing entry in international cricket.

Warner is known as an aggressive batsman and opens for Australia in all three formats. He is ranked seventh in ICC’s Test rankings and second in ODI rankings. He has been part of the IPL since 2009 and has scored 3908 runs in 112 matches, at an average run rate of 39.87.

Warner’s IPL statistics are better than Virat Kohli, who has 100 rating for all batting attributes in the game, and yet the Australian has a rating of only 86 for his batting skill.
