Gearbox Software’s Borderlands is a looter-shooter video game franchise which began in 2009. The series has seen three major entries, along with the Borderlands 2 DLC, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure, which soon became a stand-alone title of its own.

Borderlands is a 2009 open world action role-playing first-person looter shooter video game. PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows, Mac OS X and Shield Android TV.


The game's story focuses on a group of four Vault Hunters, who travel to the planet of Pandora to search for the Vault, which is rumoured to contain advanced alien technology and other priceless items. The hunters together collect clues to find the Vault while battling the wildlife of Pandora and the bandits and outlaws that populate the planet, ultimately preventing the Atlas Corporation and its paramilitary forces from reaching the Vault first.


The upcoming entry to the franchise, Tina’s Tiny Wonderlands, will be a spin-off and a sequel to the DLC and is set to have its official launch on March 25, 2022, for all the major platforms.
