One of the major dungeons in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, the Water Temple, is much more favorable than the gigantic Fire Temple. However, like any of the five major dungeons, completing the Water Temple grants you some highly useful skills and abilities. As this one is associated with Zora's Domain, stock up on your water items that will be required for progression.

The Legend of Zelda is known for its beautiful dungeons and quests linked to it. One such area is the Water Temple. Water items, or at least having Sidon alongside you, are necessary here. Some recommended items include Splash Fruit and King's Scales for the location.

This is a guide for completing the Water Temple quite easily in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Like all the other dungeons in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, your abilities will be tested in the Water Temple. To solve it, you must use four Faucets to turn on the waterworks.

However, once you accomplish this task, you will have to face the prime threat in the Water Temple, Mucktorok.

The first Faucet is also the only one located beneath the Water Temple in B1. Hence, you should try to get that out of the way first. From the Central Floor, run towards the west to find a ramp that goes down. Glide down the ramp with your paraglider to get in front of a fire door.

You can either use Sidon's Shield of Water to cover yourself from the flames or use the Ultrahand ability to get a Hover Stone Zonai device from the other side of the fire to help you out. Once you cross the flames, deactivate the Hover Stone and put it on the switch to the right to let Sidon in.

Further in the room, you will see a lower area with a spiked floor, Hover Stones, and a ball. Drop down to it, and hit the unactivated Hover Stone to turn it on. Move it to the middle of the spiked area and make the jump.

Above, you will find a chest with a Large Zonaite in it. Shoot it down to get it. After that, use your Ultrahand ability to get the ball and attach it to the Hover Stone you are on. Use this to jump up to the previous platform from where you entered.

Keep ascending until you are close to the upper level. Use Ascend to reach one of the Hover Stones and continue until you reach the top level. Once you reach there, take your Hover Stone with the ball to the ball-shaped switch on the left-hand wall.

Then rotate it, and press it in so the Hover Stone holds it in place. This opens up a room that has the switch to Faucet 1. Make the wheel spin with Sidon's ability and open it in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Travel back to the Central Floor, as all the other Faucets are on 1F. Defeat the Constructs on the West Island by following the broken bridge on the west.

Head to the northern end of the island and use your Ultrahand ability to remove the ball from the water. This is one of the most useful abilities in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, as it will be highly essential in every stage of the game.

There will be a bubble dispenser under it which will be covered in muck. You can either clean it with the Splash Fruit or use Sidon's ability. Use the bubbles to trap the ball in them and traverse to the upper island.

Once you land on the top, grab the Hover Stone on the north with Ultrahand and take it to a white monolith gate in the water. Attach the Hover Stone on top of it and move the entire structure up with your Ultrahand ability.

This will drain the water and open up a door. You will find the second Faucet in it. You are halfway done with this beautiful dungeon in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

It is better to have Zora's armor donned for this part in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Return to the Central Floor and head northeast this time.

Fire a splash arrow at the sludge-covered waterfall hole to reveal the waterfall. Glide in with your paraglider and swim up. This is why you need Zora's armor. Once you land on a broken platform, a few bubbles will be floating down from the sky. Use Recall to get into it and ride it to the upper island.

To the right, you will find a water wheel with short paddles. Use the flat white stones to stick them to the paddles on either side. Now when you move one, the wheel will start to spin and generate electricity.

You will find that the circuit is broken once you follow the current. Go to the bubble dispenser instead, which lies behind it. Move it to the gap with Ultrahand to complete the circuit. This will open the gate to the third Faucet. Use Sidon's attack to make the Faucet run.

You will find this Faucet on the upper island to the south. Keep running south and glide down with your paraglider to a lower platform. You will have to defeat the Fire Like that lurks in here and get to the top level using Ascend. Defeat the Constructs in this area too.

You will see a spinning block high up in a tower covered in sludge. You have to clear that sludge to resume the flow of water. However, it is moving very fast to aim and shoot correctly.

Hence, use a slow-motion shot with a Splash Fruit or a Chuchu Jelly attached to your arrow. Do this again without the water. Once you hit the switch, the water from the pool will drain out.

You can head inside the room that opened and activate the fourth Faucet. Return back to the beginning and touch the Zonai Terminal to let water flow into the sludge. Now prepare for one of the most interesting boss fights in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Boss Fight against Mucktorok, Scourge of the Water Temple

It is highly recommended to stock up on Splash Fruit and Chuchu Jelly before this fight, as it can be a pretty annoying one. The biggest strength of Mucktorok is its fast movements and a constant influx of sludge around the arena. Use Sidon's abilities and attacks to the maximum during this fight, as Mucktorok is highly vulnerable to water damage.

If you hit it with a water attack in its shark form, it will jump up and be stunned, giving you an opening for attacking further. The first phase can be easily completed with these steps. Make sure to hit it with Chuchu Jelly or Splash Fruit arrows from a distance, as it is always inconvenient to get close to it due to all the sludge.

When its HP is less than 50%, it will scatter mud all around the arena and will travel in between them. Hit it with arrows fused with Keese Eyeballs when it jumps to stun lock it.

The Legend of Zelda franchise games are made in a way where you can incorporate your allies' abilities effectively in a fight. Hence, you can even defend yourself with Sidon's Shield of Water whenever necessary and glide past Mucktorok's attacks with your paraglider.

The Legend of Zelda games are all about pattern recognition in bosses. Repeating and following these steps will help you defeat Mucktorok quite easily. Once you defeat the boss, you will be rewarded with a heart container.

Speak to Sidon to get the Vow of Sidon and Sage of Water. This will complete the Sidon of the Zora main quest in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
