The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom offers you a wide variety of activities, ranging from side quests to temples with elaborate puzzles. The Wind Temple is a floating ship you will encounter while playing the main quest, Tulin of Rito Village, in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

You must unlock/ activate five turbine-like mechanisms/ locks scattered throughout The Wind Temple area, after which you must defeat a boss named Colgera. All five locks can be tricky to access, but you can leverage the paraglider to reach certain areas and use Link's diverse abilities to solve some puzzles.

Your combat and puzzle-solving skills will be tested while tackling the Wind Temple in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Furthermore, after unlocking the five turbines, you must face Colgera, and the fight unravels in the air, making it a challenging endeavor. However, you must first find and activate the turbines to defeat them. Do note that you are free to unlock them in your preferred sequence.

You can start by heading to the northeast part of the 1F area to activate the first lock. You can use Link's Ultrahand ability on an icicle on the ground and place it on the lever mechanism. Use Ultrahand again, but this time on the lever, and pull it to the left to unlock the gate beside it. Head inside the room and activate the turbine lock using Tulin's Gust ability.

You can then navigate to the east section of the ship and look for an opening blocked with an ice barrier. Make sure to dodge the canon that is also present on this side of the ship and land near the blocked entrance. Break the barrier with bomb arrows or red chuchu jelly in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

You will arrive in the B1 area and turn right when you hop down the opening towards a spinning mechanism. Use Link's Recall ability to reverse the direction of its rotation and get on it. You will reach a new area with a Construct enemy, defeat it and turn the lever beside a huge window.

Look for several icicles on the ceiling and resort to Link's Ultrahand ability in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom to pick and place them between the gear mechanisms. Once the icicles contact both gears, the locked gate beside them will open, giving you access to the second turbine lock, wherein you can use Tulin's Gust ability again to activate it.

Traverse to the 1F area of the ship and head towards the air stream in the center. Use the paraglider to gain a boost and glide towards a structure right ahead of you. After landing on the top, use Ultrahand to open doors and enter.

Cautiously glide downwards since there are lasers in this location. Right before approaching the bottom of this area, you can glide into an opening that contains the third turbine lock. Leverage Tulin's Gust power in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom yet again to activate it.

Traverse to the west portion of the ship and navigate to one of the openings below using the paraglider. Head to the right passage to reach a gap on your path with ice on both sides of the wall. Use Tulin's Gust ability to reach the opposite end and turn left. Defeat the Construct here and use Link's Ascend ability in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom to propel one level higher.

You will find some debris here which you can attach to the rod in the corner beside the ladder (use Ultrahand to place the debris on the rod). You can then either use Tulin's Gust ability or Link's Recall power on the debris to rotate it. Head upwards using the ladders to reach the room containing the fourth turbine lock.

You can glide from the eastern part of the ship and look for an opening at the very bottom of it. Your cue is the presence of some glowing lanterns near the entrance. You will face a Construct here, and you can activate the final turbine lock once you get rid of the enemy.

Face-off against Colgera in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Interact with the glowing green gate on the 1F area of the ship (in front of the air stream at the center) to initiate the boss battle. The fight unravels in the air; hence it can be tricky to deplete Colgera's health. Furthermore, your task is to attack the weak spot in its underbelly area. It also traverses through a portal after you damage it making it difficult to gauge its reappearance.

Tulin occasionally points out its direction, which you can leverage, and relentlessly attack the ice plate with arrows. Once you destroy the three ice plates, a short cutscene is triggered that denotes the second phase of this battle. It would be best if you dodged several tornadoes while shooting at the ice plates in this phase.

It is recommended to use Keese Eyeballs, which give your arrows homing capabilities in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, thereby leading to accurate shots on the ice plates. Feel free to use tricks of your own in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, like attaching bombs to arrows to deal extra damage to the weak spots.

You will obtain the Heart Container upon defeating Colgera, and after a long cutscene, you also acquire the Vow of Tulin. This enables you to leverage Tulin's Gust ability during exploration (it cannot be used in shrines).
