What to expect from Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
Theme
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 embraces the traditional and vibrant Japanese culture, by blending mythology with futuristic elements. Players can expect unique biomes such as cherry blossom groves and a mysterious purple forest, alongside ancient Japanese architecture. This brand new aesthetic in Fortnite could attract a lot of new players to the game.
As per the leaks, this season will also have Special Faction Chests, related to clans. This means that Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 could have two or more sides to pick from, similar to the GHOST vs SHADOW concept from Fortnite Chapter 2.
Battle Pass skins
Here are all the Battle Pass skins in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 that have been disclosed so far:
- Baymax: From the popular animated movie Big Hero 6.
- Hope: A Fortnite lore character with a blue ninja outfit.
- Godzilla: Iconic Kaiju towering in the background of the promo banner.
- Original skins: Includes a samurai, a robotic-handed cat, and a few demon-inspired characters.
We can also see new Pet Back Blinds and futuristic katana Pickaxes in the game that will likely be part of the Battle Pass, which now costs 1,000 V-bucks instead of 950.

As of this writing, the official banner has already confirmed the Godzilla and Baymax collaborations during Chapter 6 Season 1. Apart from that, these are the collabs that are likely to happen during this season:

Weapons and other items
The traps are likely to return this season, alongside a fan-favorite Mythic weapon, Wings Of Icarus. Apart from this, the Double Pump mechanics will return after many years, but only in the Chapter 1 OG Permanent Mode.
Moreover, a Demon Area is rumored to be added to the game that would serve as a battle arena to fight NPCs and collect bonus loot.
This season could also introduce two fresh mobility items:
- Hook Shot: A rumored mobility tool enabling quick traversal across the map, akin to grappling mechanics.
- Ice Skates: A new movement feature likely enhancing speed and control on icy terrain.
Competitive changes
This season is bringing a lot of changes to the esports scene, to enhance opportunities and make it fair for skilled players. Epic Games has restructured the prize pool distribution of all the tournaments and regions, which will make it more challenging for players to win cash prizes.
