Ever since Mark Rein revealed Chapter 6 Season 3's word, Fortnite x One Punch Man has been trending on social media. While this may seem like another hype-train soon to be derailed, there could be some truth to things this time. After all, Epic Games is known to collaborate with popular anime franchises, and One Punch Man is an extremely popular series.

By now, you're probably wondering why Fortnite x One Punch Man is trending. Well, it all concerns the upcoming season's theme and a certain tier system that is part and parcel of anime and gaming culture. Here is more on the topic at hand.

Not too long ago, Epic Games' Vice President and Co-Founder shared news of the upcoming season on the social media platform X. The word this time around is "S-Tier".

In terms of anime and gaming, S-Tier relates to characters or items belonging to the uppermost echelons of a particular category. The One Punch Man series has a very similar ranking system as well. Here, heroes registered with the Hero Association are assigned specific ranks, from C-class all the way up to S-class, depending on their power levels, but more importantly, their popularity with the public.

So, despite being easily one of the most powerful characters in One Punch Man, Saitama starts off at C-rank and is still an A-rank hero in the anime and manga. But Fortnite might just give the hero the rank he truly deserves.

The pieces of the puzzle start falling into place when you consider the fact that the upcoming season will be superhero-themed and feature characters such as Superman and Robin. In terms of strength, Saitama, aka One Punch Man, is an S-Tier superhero. As such, he may very well be part of the Chapter 6 Season 3 Battle Pass.

What adds to the credibility of this theory are rumors that began circulating about a potential Fortnite x One Punch Man collaboration, back in December 2024. It would appear that they were not merely rumors, but rather unconfirmed information.

As it stands, the collaboration is not confirmed yet, but that could change soon. In fact, we could see teasers showcased for the same being revealed during the Summer Game Fest 2025.
