As of November 2024, Sachin Tendulkar is the first and only player to score more than 3000 runs in the India vs Australia Tests. He tops the batting chart with 3630 runs in 39 Tests, followed by Ricky Ponting (2555) and VVS Laxman (2434). Fourth and fifth on this list are Rahul Dravid and Cheteshwar Pujara with 2143 and 2074 runs respectively.
Michael Clarke sits at the sixth position with 2049 runs. Steve Smith and Virat Kohli have scored exactly the same amount of runs (2042) and are placed in the seventh and eighth positions respectively. Matthew Hayden (1888) and Virender Sehwag (1738) fill the ninth and tenth positions on the batting chart of most runs scored.
