The Buick LPGA Shanghai is a women's golf event for professional players, held at the Qizhong Garden Golf Club in Shanghai, China. The event debuted in 2018 and was won by Danielle Kang. The purse of the event has been consistent with $2.1 million and the winner's share of $315,000.

Held in Shanghai, China, the 2019 Buick LPGA Shanghai was a huge success, drawing 81 elite female golfers from 17 different nations and regions. Among them were 16 LPGA title holders and seven players in the top 10 worldwide rankings. The event was cancelled for three years in 2020, 2021 and 2022 due to COVID-19.

Who won the Buick LPGA Shanghai in 2024?

The 2024 Buick LPGA Shanghai will be held from October 10-13 and will be updated likewise. Angel Yin won the 2023 Buick LPGA Shanghai by winning the LPGA Tour at Shanghai, China's Qizhong Garden Golf Club. Of the purse of $2.1 million, she took home the $315,000 winner's share.

After both players, Yin and Lilia Vu ended the 72-hole regulation round at 14-under 274, Yin made her first-ever win on the LPGA Tour in her 159th appearance. She did so by scoring a birdie on the opening hole of a sudden-death playoff against Vu.

Vu defeated Yin in the Chevron Championship playoffs earlier in the season to capture her first major title, and now the favor has (sort of) returned. Hye-Jin Choi, Esther Henseleit, Yu Liu, Ariya Jutanugarn, and Pavarisa Yoktuan finished tied for third place.
