I don't see the name, I just see the ball and play according to it. Batting with him is great, he speaks positively and helps me focus in the middle. It was like a dream. No fear. Riyan Parag [captain, Rajasthan Royals]: It was incredible, we have spent two months with him and know what he can do. To do what he did against world-class bowlers in GT, have no words. We were thinking about how we can finish the game earlier. We practiced it and it came off. You can learn every day from other teams, you can take notes, implement them in practice, and execute in the game. This game was one-sided. Yashasvi Jaiswal: Ofcourse I think he has batted incredibly. One of the best innings I have seen. Hopefully he continues in that manner. I was just telling him to keep going, he was just incredible today. I think he played absolutely amazing shots. He really worked hard in the nets and we can see that. Yeah I think, he has the game, temperament and mentality and I wish him all the luck. Absolutely we were talking about that somebody needs to stay there to finish there. I feel whoever is out there has to take the responsibility to finish the game. Hundred percent and as our coach has told us to take one game at a time. We need to enjoy it.

Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans captain): Yes definitely, they took the game away from us in the powerplay and credit to them for that. Yeah I think, there were a couple of things we could have done differently but it's easy to say from outside. There were a couple of chances which we didn't take. Felt a bit back spasms and the physio said not to take a chance. Like I mentioned, previously it doesn't matter whether we win or lose. We take one match at a time. Hopefully we can come back to winning ways at Ahmedabad. It was his day, his hitting was tremendous and he made full use of his day.

An absolute demolition job by Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Rajasthan Royals. This has been a very good chase by the Rajasthan Royals, who snapped their five-game losing streak. As for the Gujarat Titans, they were up against a young man on a mission who just went berserk and was determined to win his side the game.

Where do we pin down how this chase went off? Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal obliterated the new ball and managed to score 87 runs in the first six overs. Post the powerplay, Jaiswal slowed down a bit, but Vaibhav Suryavanshi went on like a machine, striking the ball as clean as a whistle and finding the boundary time and again.

Two overs of bowling by Washington Sundar and Karim Janat, resulting in 51 runs, ensured that RR, who were on track to seal the chase, were in cruise control. Suryavanshi, on 94, struck a maximum and did what he had in his mind: get to a 100 on debut and make an indelible mark on the league. He was dismissed shortly, so was Nitish Rana after a start, but Riyan Parag and Jaiswal stood firm till the end, with the latter ending the game with a huge maximum.

Gujarat Titans merely strained their necks, following the ball in the air. Skipper Rashid Khan was the most economical of all the bowlers, picking up a wicket and giving away only 24 runs in his four overs. Prasidh Krishna also had a wicket to his name, but much like his peers, he was also carted to all parts of the park. Their net run rate has taken a hit after this match sees its culmination much earlier than its scheduled 20 overs.
