Roman retorts by telling Cena to smarten himself up. He cites how he smashed his previous opponents, asking Cena what puts him above them. He then says that he will leave SummerSlam as the Universal Champion, or he will leave WWE! Roman goes to shake Cena's hand but pulls him in for an Attitude Adjustment. However, Cena counters it into a roll-up. One, two, three! Statement made! The show ends with Cena celebrating his "victory."

Cena praises the energy in the arena and says that Roman has no idea what he is in for. He says that he will win the Universal Championship and take it to his movie while Roman stays on SmackDown, an embarrassed shell of himself. Cena says he didn't come back to promote movies, he came to demote Roman's ass. He constantly brings up that all it takes is one, two, three for him to become a 17-time world champion.

The Phoenix crowd is super loud here. Roman says that Cena said a lot of dumb things last week and the fans ate it up. He instructs the crowd to pop, which they do. Roman asks Paul Heyman when was the last time he lost. The answer? Noone has ever beaten this Roman Reigns.

John Cena cuts off Reigns' music, as he comes out to huge cheers. What verbal barbs will these two megastars throw at each other this time?

It is time for our main event segment. Roman Reigns comes out for his final face-to-face confrontation with John Cena.

Bianca blocks a superkick and decks Mella, before hitting a smooth Lionsault for a two-count. Mella traps Bianca in the apron and hits a superkick. But it is of no use, as Bianca hits the KOD to pick up her second victory.

Mella has the early advantage and hits a series of elbows in the corner. She tries to beat her with a sleeper hold but Bianca counters it into a vertical suplex.

Carmella immediately hits a superkick on Bianca Belair, during the gap between the two matches.

Bianca is on the attack but a distraction from Mella almost gives Vega a big win. She hits Code Red for a very close near-fall. Bianca eventually gains control. She hits a powerbomb before hitting the KOD for the win.

Zelina Vega and Carmella come out together but are not on the same page. Mella throws Vega into the ring.

Boogs tags in Nakamura, who stuns Azeez with some impressive strikes. He hits a knee off the ropes. Nakamura goes for the Kinshasa but Azeez hits a side slam. Crews is back in the match but is thwarted by Nakamura. Boogs also re-enters and finishes Crews off with an impressive powerslam. Good win for the in-ring debutant!

Boogs starts the match. He takes Crews down and strums him like a guitar. However, the former IC Champ quickly takes control. He hits a dropkick on Boogs.

Rick Boogs appears, much to the delight of Pat McAfee. He brings out the new Intercontinental Champion, King Nakamura. SmackDown's resident guitarist will be making his SmackDown in-ring debut. Boogs and Nakamura are set to take on Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez.

Otis ultimately floors Montez and hits him with a Vader Bomb for the win.

Otis hits a spinning back elbow and is utterly dominant now. However, Montez uses his quickness to score an enziguiri. Shenanigans involving Chad Gable and Angelo Dawkins allows Montez to hit a crossbody for a near-fall.

Montez is sporting boxing shorts as he attempts to gain revenge on Otis. However, he is almost immediately overpowered. Montez hits two clotheslines, but Otis does not go down.

Seth says there is no shame in his shortcomings. He claims that without that darkness in his heart, Edge cannot get to his level. The Brood's music suddenly plays. Edge appears on the tron and says that the freaks come out at night. Seth is given a bloodbath from the top! His once white suit is completely ruined. What a throwback!

Seth admits that he likes Edge's style. He reacts to the crowd chanting "We want Edge" by saying they already got him. Seth mocks his promo and says that he was just making excuses for SummerSlam.
