Several new items and mobs will finally be added to the game, and players can expect a ton of new gameplay enhancements with the additions. When it comes to the mobs, the armadillo and eight new wolf types are finally arriving in Minecraft. The armadillo mob is a new addition to the game, and it will be found in the savannah biome.

While the game had wolves, there was just one, plain wolf. So no matter where the player went, the wolves would be the same. Thanks to the 1.20.5 update, players would be able to tame different types of wolves:

• The rusty wolf spawns in the jungle biome.
• The pale wolf (default wolf) now spawns in the taiga biome.
• The striped wolf spawns in wooded badlands.
• The snowy wolf spawns in groves.
• The ashen wolf spawns in the snowy taiga.
• The wood wolf spawns in forests.
• The chestnut wolf spawns in old-growth spruce taiga.
• The spotted wolf spawns in the savanna plateau.
• The black wolf spawns in old-growth pine taiga.

Coming to the items that will be added to the game with this update, we have the much-awaited and needed wolf armor. The wolf armor can be crafted using the armadillo scutes that are either dropped by the armadillo naturally or can be brushed off using a brush.

The wolf armor can be dyed and only placed on a tamed wolf. To remove the armor, players need to use the shears. Another great thing about the wolf armor is that it can be repaired using armadillo scutes while it is on the tamed wolf.

The armadillo egg has also been added to the game. The armadillo is a neutral mob that will roll up when it senses danger. Players need to approach it slowly and carefully.
