Minecraft 1.20.5 will bring wolf armor, which can be crafted using armadillo scutes. The armadillo is another new mob that has been officially added to the game. They are neutral entities that roll up when they sense any danger coming their way. These can be found in the savannah biome, and they naturally drop scutes which can be collected by the player. Alternatively, gamers can also brush it off of them.

The armadillo scutes are used to make wolf armor. The gear can be dyed and repaired when needed and provides much-needed protection for the tamed wolves. The update will also add eight different types of wolves to the game. What’s even more interesting is that these will be found in specific biomes.

For those who are wondering, the original wolf is also going to be in the game, now called the pale wolf. The snowy wolf is the rarest type. Meanwhile, the pack size will also vary depending on the type.
