Dune Awakening: How to farm Plant Fiber

Plant Fiber is one of Dune Awakening’s more important resources, and you’re going to need to gather plenty of it at least in the Hagga Basin South region. Whether you’re making early-game equipment, or healkits, Plant Fiber is going to be important. It can become even more important if you get eaten by a sandworm and have to recover from such a debilitating loss.

Thankfully, it’s a pretty plentiful resource, and there are ways to shore up plenty of Plant Fiber in no time at all in Dune Awakening. If you’re looking to gather up some of the weeds that grow on Arrakis, here’s what you need to know.

How to easily farm Plant Fiber in Dune Awakening

When it comes to Plant Fiber in Dune Awakening, you can find it near virtually any rocky ground. It’s not found in the sand, but if you’re near a bit of rocky ground anywhere Arrakis, the odds of seeing some are very high. I find the majority of it around the edges of these rocky areas, typically.

There’s no real “secret” to farming Plant Fiber in Dune Awakening though. It has a remarkably high respawn timer, so check around all the rocky ground as you explore, and when you find a spot that has four or five pieces of it, pick it up.

Then, take some cover in the shade, and wait a minute or two. Depending on the Ping/Server, Plant Fiber can respawn up to twice in a minute. You can just set up camp and wait for it to respawn, and grab all of it over and over again.

I tested this on my home server (Splinter), even in Vermillius Gap, the respawn timer was incredibly generous. I went from having 25 Plant Fiber to 200-300, in incredibly short order. If you’re patient, and have some water (or a good Stillsuit), you can grab however much you need. Thankfully, some spawned right next to my camp, so I didn’t have to go very far to get it.

Even if you're in the early hours of the game, just run across the ground of the rocky areas, as if you were farming any other resource like Salvaged Metal, and you will come across more than enough Plant Fiber.
