Dune Awakening features several resource types, one of which is Carbide Scraps, a sought-after crafting material in the game. This is likely because, unlike other resources, these scraps are much more scarce and cannot be crafted. Farming this resource is only possible in a specific part of the Mysa Tarill region.

In this article, we go through all the ways to acquire Carbide Scraps in the game.

How to farm Carbide Scraps in Dune Awakening

The primary way to acquire Carbide Scraps is through the Mysa Tarill bandit outpost. You’ll eventually make your way to this place while exploring or completing contracts/side-quests.

Upon reaching the area, you’ll find a cult like gathering with many enemy NPCs. Take them out and look for loot containers with Carbide Scraps on the platform with the massive hologram. Pick up the identification band to enter the enemy hideout if you want to loot the container room.

After clearing the hideout, look for a blocked door housing another identification band. Use a Cutteray to get inside and acquire the band to access the container room with boss chests.

The enemies in this area can be very tanky, so bring weapons that can pack a punch. An example is the House Drillshot FK7, a very effective weapon that can take out enemies from a range.

Another way to acquire this item is through NPC vendors. Asmara Efendi in Harko Village, Zoe in Crossroads Tradepost, and Ant Nostrum keep a limited stock of 15 Carbide Scraps. The downside is that each scrap costs 3,500 Solaris and can quickly empty your savings.

What are Carbide Scraps used for in Dune Awakening?

Carbide Scraps are used to craft some powerful equipment, including Poison Mist, Adept Sword, and Kharet Viper. However, the best item to do so using this resource is the Ornithopter; more specifically, it is required to craft its chassis.

For those unaware, an Ornithopter is an aerial vehicle that can help you travel long distances and transport cargo without having to worry about desert conditions. However, its biggest advantage is its ability to avoid the Sandworm.
