The Destiny 2 Season of the Deep trailer has finally gone live. This is the second season in the Lightfall expansion and will probably shed some more light on what the Veil is and how it's connected to both Light and Darkness. A seasonal storyline will take place on Titan, a location that the Darkness hijacked in the Beyond Light expansion.

Each season in Destiny 2 is unique. They have individual seasonal storylines, armor, and weapons. Bungie has been hyping this season for a while now, and from what was seen in the trailer, it could turn out to be very exciting.

First and foremost, the title's trailer confirms Sloane's return, and even though she's part Taken, her capacity is unclear. Hence, it's hard to say how she will be involved in the storyline. Players will also make their way underwater for the first time in the series history.

While those are some exciting lore points about the new season, what's more intriguing is that the developers have included a fresh set of Taken weapons in Season of the Deep. Guardians can collect and use a brand-new hand cannon, a submachine gun, a sword, a pulse rifle, and a shotgun.

It'll be fascinating to see what perks these weapons drop with and the Origin Trait on them. Given that these are seasonal weapons, they'll be restricted to Titan only. There's some new activity through which Guardians will have to venture underwater. So some of these weapons will also be available as rewards for completing that activity.

Apart from this, Bungie has also introduced many new Gambit weapons. The most interesting Gambit weapons are Spare Rations, a hand cannon that was excessively popular before it was vaulted from Destiny 2. The weapon might drop with a new perk pool and the Gun and Run Origin Trait in Destiny 2.

Finally, the trailer confirms that Guardians can catch fish in Season of the Deep. It's hard to gauge the implications of this activity because it just doesn't fit with the overall theme of the game at this point. Players can participate in the activity at the Farm, on Nessus, and Savathun's Throne World.

A leak that surfaced a few days ago claimed that players could catch fish and keep them as pets. While the trailer did not confirm this angle, the activity is present, so there might be some truth to the leaks, to begin with.
