WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria, a brand-new fast-paced game mode, will go live on May 16, 2024, for all players. Following up after the success of Plunderstorm, it will be yet another exciting new fast-paced way to play the game with an alt. Also like Plunderstorm, both WoW Classic and Retail players will get to enjoy it.

If you're eager to get in on the action and want to know exactly when the update will drop, we got you covered. This article will go over the start time for WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria across all regions, and what to expect from day one.

Mists of Pandaria is slated to release roughly a week after the Dragonflight 10.2.7 update. Alongside the release date, Blizzard has also officially announced the time the patch comes out: 10 am PDT on May 16, 2024.

Here's what the WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria global release time looks like for different regions across the world:

  • Los Angeles (PT): 10 am on May 16, 2024
  • New York (ET): 1 pm on May 16, 2024
  • UK/London (GMT): 5 pm on May 16, 2024
  • Paris (CET): 7 pm on May 16, 2024
  • Dubai (GST): 9 pm on May 16, 2024
  • Delhi (IST): 10:30 pm on May 16, 2024
  • Seoul (KST): 2 am on May 16, 2024
  • Tokyo (JST): 2 am on May 16, 2024

Note that while this was confirmed on an official Blizzard post, it does not account for potential maintenance times. Barring that and any technical setbacks, WoW players across all regions will get the update at relatively the same time.

Will WoW Classic players get to play Mists of Pandaria?

Yes. All you need to play Mists of Pandaria is a working WoW subscription. This means even WoW Classic owners get to enjoy this game mode. That being said, it will strictly be deployed as an update to wrap up Dragonflight, so you will have to download the WoW Retail client to play it.

What to expect from the WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria game mode

Originally teased as the Timerunner: Pandamonium update on the 2024 WoW roadmap, WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria is a PvE event where you play as an alternative character. Here's how to start the game mode:

  • Once you boot up retail WoW after the game mode releases, it will be available under the "Create New Character" option.
  • On the world select menu, a new "Timerunner" option will be available briefly explaining the game mode.
  • You can select from all available classes and races, and you start at level 10 regardless of these selections.
  • You can level up to a cap of 70 strictly in Pandaria, partaking in different quests, dungeon delving, and raid activities.
  • Heroic Raids are also available at level 70.
  • You have access to dragon-riding right away and leveling up is much faster compared to regular WoW.

While it is an accelerated WoW experience like the recently released Plunderstorm, it is strictly PvE-focused and less of a departure from the classic WoW formula.

It has not been announced for how long the Mists of Pandaria event will be available. Our estimated guess would be that it will end right before the WoW: War Within pre-Patch.
