Daniel Alejandro Suarez Garcia, popoularly known as Daniel Suarez, is a full-time driver in the American stock-car racing series, NASCAR Cup Series. Daniel Suarez drives the No. 99 car for Trackhouse Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series. Suarez is a NASCAR champion, who claimed the 2016 NASCAR Xfinity Series title. He became the only foreign-born NASCAR driver to win a national championship in NASCAR. Suarez is a former memeber of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program where he raced in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series. He is also the first Mexican born driver to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Suarez is 33-years-old, as of January 2025. He was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico on January 7, 1992. Daniel Suarez started competing in NASCAR Cup Series in 2017 with Joe Gibbs Racing. As of January 2025, Suarez has competed in Cup Series for eight years completing 287 races with various teams. Suarez is set to drive at Trackhouse Racing for the 2025 season.

Daniel Suarez's wins

Daniel Suarez has two NASCAR Cup Series wins in the Cup Series, as of January 2025. His first race win came during his sophomore year with Trackhouse Racing at the 2022 Toyota 350. The win was a much-awaited milestone for Suarez in the sixth year of his career.

His second win came in 2024 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. The race had one of the most picture-perfect race lines finishes with Suarez winning the race with just a 0.003-second margin between Ryan Blaney. To the naked eye, the distance between the three cars (Suarez, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Busch) closing the line was nearly impossible to distinguish.

Apart from the Cup Series, he also has three wins in the Xfinity Series in 2016 for Joe Gibbs Racing which also led him to claim the Xfinity Championship during the same season. He has also won a race in the Truck Series.

According to Motorsports Stats, Daniel Suarez has been on pole three times in his NASCAR Cup Series career, as of January 2025. Suarez was unable to start any race on pole during the 2024 Cup Series. Daniel Suarez won his first pole at the Gander Outdoors 400 in 2018 with Joe Gibbs Racing. Suarez came close to winning the race but ended up in second place in the end.

Additonally, Daniel Suarez has also six poles in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and one pole position in the NASCAR Truck Series.
