Austin Louis Cindric is an American professional stock-car racing driver born on September 2, 1998, in Columbus, Ohio, USA. He is a full-time racer in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 2 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Team Penske. As of January 2025, Austin has 2 wins, 22 Top Tens, and 1 pole in the NASCAR Cup Series career, as of January 2025. He is the winner of the 2020 Xfinity Series championship.

Austin Cindric's NASCAR career

Cindric started his NASCAR career in 2015 making him part of the racing community for the past nine years, as of January 2025. In 2015, Cindric started his NASCAR journey in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driving the No.29 Ford F-150 as a substitute for Brad Keselowski. He was consistent in the race format and won the third-place finish in the 2017 series standings which helped him get into the NASCAR Xfinity series in 2018. The highlight was his winning the 2020 Xfinity series championship, making him a top-tier driver.

In October 2020, Team Penske announced that Cindric would begin racing in the Cup Series 2021 on a part-time basis. In 2022, he drove the team's No. 2 car in NASCAR and entered the Cup series in the same year. He won the prestigious Daytona 500 in just his eighth career Cup Series start. He continued to race, winning races including the 2024 Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway.

Cindric started his 2024 season with a 22nd-place finish at the 2024 Daytona 500. He scored his second career win at Gateway, breaking his 85-race winless streak. Cindric ended his 2024 season 11th in the driver standings with 2247 points to his name and one victory, as per Motorsports Stats.
