Ryan Michael Blaney is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 12 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Team Penske. He is the son of former NASCAR driver Dave Blaney and the grandson of Lou Blaney who used to race in the modified dirt track. Blaney started his racing career in the quarter midget racing and won his first race when he was nine.

Blaney debuted in the ARCA Racing Series and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West and East, now known as the ARCA Menards Series, in 2011. Blaney debuted in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2014 at the five-hour Energy 400, Kansas Speedway, and finished 27th for Team Penske. Before this, Blaney debuted in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2012 at the Virginia 529 College Savings 250, Richmond for Tommy Baldwin Racing. In the same year, Blaney also debuted in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, at the UNOH 200, Bristol for Brad Keselowski Racing and finished sixth. Blaney has won 12 times in the Cup Series with 142 top-10 finishes and secured 10 pole positions. In the Xfinity Series, he has seven wins, 57 top-10 finishes, and three pole positions. In the Craftsman Truck Series, Blaney has secured four wins, 40 top 10s, and five poles.

Although Ryan Blaney was born in Hartford Township, Trumbull County, Ohio, he was raised in North Carolina, where he still resides. Blaney’s modern farmhouse is in Mooresville, North Carolina, as per the Realtor’s official website. The house, built across 10 acres, has an open-concept layout, a gourmet kitchen, and a lot of outdoor space, including a tranquil koi pond, and a private courtyard.
