Tyler Reddick is an American stock car racing driver of the NASCAR Cup Series team 23XI Racing that JGR driver Denny Hamlin and NBA legend, Michael Jordan jointly own. Reddick has been steadily moving up the ladder to fame since finishing second on points in only his first full year of competing in NASCAR's premier series in 2023. His first-ever Truck Series victory came at the fan-favourite Daytona International Speedway on February 20, 2015. A couple of years later, Reddick won at Daytona again, but this time, the victory was special. That triumph won the then-JR Motorsports driver a spot in the playoffs en route to the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series championship. The following year, Reddick flaunted his abilities by winning five races in the regular season and thus defending his title, but for Richard Childress Racing this time.
Reddick joined 23XI Racing in 2022, replacing Kurt Busch and since then, he has been proving himself as a valuable addition to the Toyota team. Reddick's 2024 championship season has been his best season, as of February 2025. He won the Regular Season championship and finished the season 4th in the driver standings. Reddick competed for the title at the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race. He is married to Alexa DeLeon, a social media influencer and a social worker. In NASCAR's Netflix docuseries “Full Speed”, Reddick explained that his wife wasn't a fan of the name at first, but Reddick wouldn't stop calling him that even before Beau was born. Therefore, Alexa came up with an unusual way to name their soon-to-be-born child.
“I thought it (Beau) was cute, but that was not my first choice,” DeLeon admitted in an interview with NBC Sports. “I was pretty stuck on Ryker at that point and he was not hopping on that train.”
“I don’t know what came over me,” she said. “I guess pregnancy-brain is a real thing, and one day I was like, ‘Listen, you win this championship, you can name him whatever you want, but I don’t want you calling him anything until you are in victory lane holding up that championship trophy in Miami.’”
