Pokemon GO: All Flabebe types and where to find them

Pokemon GO fans were greeted with the Kalos creature Flabebe, a Fairy-type species that comes in different color types. These color differences are purely cosmetic, and no specific type of Flabebe has an inherent advantage over its counterparts. However, evolving differently-colored Flabebe results in a colorful menagerie of evolutions like Floette and Florges.

But where can Pokemon GO players catch specific Flabebe types? To put things plainly, it is easier said than done depending on a player's means and home location. This is because certain Flabebe are only obtainable in the wild in specific regions of the world.

If Pokemon GO players are determined to get all five Flabebe color types, it's a good idea to know where they appear.

Like certain other species in Pokemon GO, three of the five Flabebe color types are region-locked. For newer fans, this means some Flabebe colors will only be obtainable in the wild when trainers are in a certain part of the world. Fortunately, region locks aren't incredibly specific and instead focus on major continents.

Flabebe colors are found in the wild at the following locations:

  • Blue - Asia-Pacific region
  • Red - Europe, the Middle East, and Africa
  • Yellow - The Americas and Greenland
  • White - Worldwide
  • Orange - Worldwide

Based on the info above, it's not hard to see why capturing all color variants of Flabebe is a difficult task. In addition to being region-locked, Flabebe appears exclusively in the wild, meaning it sometimes has to compete with other Pocket Monsters to spawn in an area.

One of the lone exceptions is during Valentine's Day events, where Flabebe appears much more often in the wild alongside other love-themed Pokemon. This doesn't remove the regional limits on Flabebe colors, but it does give players the opportunity to catch multiple Flabebe in their region.

With enough specimens, trainers may be able to strike up a trade with players from other regions, allowing them to finally complete their collection. Unless Niantic announces a future event that removes Flabebe's limitations in an Ultra Unlock-style fashion, hunting in the wild and trading will be the only way to collect all of Flabebe's color types.

Unfortunately, some trainers simply don't have the resources to travel to different continents to catch various Flabebe colors. It's part of the reason a full set of Flabebe is so incredibly rare and is somewhat considered a point of pride for many trainers. Catching/trading for the full spectrum of Flabebe colors is difficult, but some players may just pull it off.
