The Pokemon GO Raging Battle event is all set to go live in a few days, which will debut Annihilape, the Rage Monkey Pokemon. The news is exciting, but the new addition has a special condition for players to evolve Primeape into Annihilape. The community knows getting the latter is quite a challenge. To this, a user, u/SSBGOGETA66, posted on GO’s subreddit thread saying:

"A call to the community"

We often see community members helping trainers out on how to approach an event by sharing valuable information and strategies. The case is the same, but this time, it’s about beating 30 Psychic or Ghost-type Pokemon while Primeape is a Buddy. This is the requirement to trigger the evolution. Let’s find out how other users reacted to this thread.

Pokemon GO community wishes to achieve Annihilape evolution by joining hands

As soon as the Pokemon GO Raging Battle kicks off, players can partake in it to get Primeape from 3-star raids or catch Mankey from wild encounters and evolve into Primeape and then into Annihilape.

The main hurdle to clear after obtaining the creature is evolving it. To do that, trainers will need to buddy a Primeape and then beat 30 Ghost or Psychic-type monsters.

In response to this thread, u/princeyyo suggests that Friendly Battle might be an easy solution to completing this quest. This comment goes like this:

Players speculate various ways to defeat the critter since Niantic hasn’t clarified where and how to beat it. Should one do that in the wild, in a Trainer Battle, in Gyms, or Raids? This question can obviously raise curiosity among those expecting to evolve the creature, and a user u/sereultra reacts by saying:

If this strategy is applicable, one doesn’t need to search for Psychic/Ghost-type Pokemon in the wild, which seems like a good option. While these are some of the Pokemon GO community's reactions to the thread, many said they would be responding to the call.

Most members agreed to help each other by placing their Psychic or Ghost-type Pokemon as Gym Defenders. This approach seems far better and may yield success, but players will have to place the Psychic- and Ghost-type critters in Gyms to make that happen.

Pokemon GO fans have shown appreciation for the post and willingness to join hands to overcome the Raging Battle obstacle. As of writing, we don’t know exactly what developers Niantic mean by beating the Ghost/Psychic-type. However, many believe that defeating them in any manner can do the work to trigger Annihilape's evolution.
