The Pokemon GO community recently expressed widespread dissatisfaction with the second day of GO Fest 2024, describing it as significantly underwhelming. Reddit user KellerMtnDefense summarized these grievances, highlighting the low number of diverse raids, worse overworld spawns, and a noticeable decline in shiny rates.
"Go Fest Day 2 Sucked"
The frustrations extended to slower spawns and a lack of new or exciting features, making many players feel that the $15 spent on the event was unjustified.

KellerMtnDefense's post mentioned that shiny rates were particularly disappointing, with half the shinies caught despite more than double the time spent playing.
Additionally, the user noted the absence of cool animations that were present on the first day and were frustrated by the abundance of Pikachu in the party challenges, which they and their group tried to avoid.
The community's response echoed KellerMtnDefense's sentiments, with many players sharing their own experiences and frustrations.

User Slvrwulf noted that the catch rate felt unusually low throughout the entire event. They reported wasting an unprecedented number of Pokeballs, which was not typical for them during such events. This sentiment was shared by other players who also experienced a higher-than-normal Pokeball consumption.
IceC1303 discussed their struggles with catching even normal spawns, despite using golden raspberries.
They found it crazy that these spawns were breaking out of golden + great or excellent throws. This difficulty led them to deplete their stock of great and ultra balls, a rare occurrence on event days.
Carpet-Ruiner observed a noticeable nerf in autocatcher rates, which affected the overall experience:
"Yeah, and they've clearly nerfed autocatcher rates too, I hope it isn't here to stay."
They noted that their autocatchers, including the GO++, struggled to keep up, taking longer to detect and catch Pokemon. The increase in Pocket Monsters jumping or attacking during catches and breaking out of balls was also frustrating.
A non-ticket holder, user pacquan, expressed that the entire weekend felt lackluster:
"Nothing at all made me feel like it was go fest."
They remarked that the event seemed to be solely focused on the release of Necrozma fusions and didn't have the distinct festive atmosphere they expected from a GO Fest.
